On her dream wedding day, a woman faces a deadly threat, racing to uncover the danger and say her vows before it's too late, in this Housemaid series short story. Review: Superb - Another brilliant read from Frieda. I have never been disappointed yet by one of her books. This was a short story, but just as good as her full length novels. Review: Well written and good characters but I wanted more. - The Housemaid’s Wedding, is a short story from the Housemaid series, by Freida McFadden. Millie and Enzo are due to get married on what should be the happiest day of their lives, but the clock is ticking and Millie might not survive her happy-ever-after. Millie, once the housemaid with a dark past, is finally on the verge of a fresh start. She’s about to marry Enzo, the man who knows her secrets and loves her anyway. The courthouse ceremony may not be a grand affair, but for Millie, it’s everything, freedom, love, and hope rolled into one. But as the big moment approaches, Millie begins to sense something is wrong. Sinister warnings, unshakable paranoia, and a growing sense that someone wants to stop this wedding, permanently, put her on high alert. Could her past be catching up with her? Or is there a new threat lurking just out of view? I enjoy this series but I am not a big lover of of short stories. This is a decent read but lacks the in-depth plot a full length novel offers. Well written and good characters but I wanted more.

Great Novella
This was such a nice little short story about Millie and Enzo. I have more respect for Enzo now after this short story and it has me so excited for book 3.

Enjoyable, but not quite the same page turner as the rest of the series.
"They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Death threats on your wedding day? Probably not so much." 👗 I've just finished The Housemaid's Wedding by Freida McFadden, and I must say, it was a perfectly adequate little read. As someone who's already devoured the rest of the series, I found this short story provided a bit of connective tissue, filling in some of the gaps between the main books. It was nice to catch up with Millie and Enzo and see what they were up to in that interim period. However, and this is where the 'just okay' feeling creeps in, not a great deal actually happened. It felt more like a gentle pause in the overall narrative rather than a story with a significant arc of its own. There was a side plot introduced, which I thought had some potential, but it ultimately felt rather unresolved, leaving me a tad deflated. It was like being promised a little surprise, only for it not to fully materialise. I do think my experience might have been different had I read this novella nestled between books two and three. I can imagine it would have served as a welcome little bridge then, keeping the world and characters fresh in my mind. Reading it after the fact, it felt a touch less essential. The plot itself lacks the gripping twists and turns we've come to expect from Freida McFadden. It’s a pleasant enough diversion, but perhaps not one that will linger long in the memory. So, a solid three stars from me – enjoyable, but not quite the page-turner I was hoping for.

Great read
This was a great, fill in the blanks read. After reading all 3 books, it was nice to go back and read about the wedding and their relationship.

Absolutly brilliant
The second this book came through my letterbox i was reading it, I read it all. I have absolutly loved the housemaid books I have read them all and watched the first movie. I was excited to read this short story but extremely sad that it was so short, the author is such a brilliant writer, (admittedly I have not read anything by Freida McFadden other then the housemaid series but have since got a few more of hers to read) and has had me hooked on each and every page of this series and the housemaid's wedding was just the same. I read this from cover to cover as soon as it arrived, I so wanted this to be a full length book and that was my only disappointment I wanted more, more details, more how they arrived there, more about the baby and them becoming a family. I would highly recommend this short story and the other housemaid books to everyone. I couldn't put them down once I started reading them. Freida Mcfadden is now on my must read all her books list. Absolutly fantastic
