Great when coupled with plantains flowers
We got our 3 years old this book after he helped us plant a little veggie and herb garden in a raised bed in the backyard. He loved seeing it in the book and then watching the plants grow. All the flaps keep him occupied.

Usborne Books are the best
I don't like to attend those "parties" to purchase Usborne books and was relieved that I could buy it from Amazon

Cute book, weak flaps.
The book is cute, but instead of flowers DIE-ing, they should have used another word, like wither or fade. The flaps are thin and super attached at first - use something like a hairpin to open them with an adult, because a toddler or young kid can easily tear them off. Other than that, I liked that book.

I thought this book would be great for her
My 3 year old daughter loves learning about new things. She is an extremely curious child. One of her interests includes plants of all kinds. I thought this book would be great for her. It is way better then I expected. There are so many flaps for my daughter to look under. The book goes through the life cycle of flowers, how seeds get spread, trees through the different seasons and so much more. There is so much to look at and touch. This book is amazing

Educational and interactive
Each two page spread has a question at the top as the "title" and the rest of the flaps and information is supposed to answer that question. The questions this book answers are: How do flowers grow?, Why do plants have flowers?, Where do seeds come from?, Who plants all the seeds?, and Why do leaves fall?. The book ends with a page on the biggest, smallest, and smelliest flowers. The book is a pop-corn of random information and at times the information does not exactly address the question on the page. There are a lot of indented trails to follow the movement of the insects as well as a number of various types of flaps to lift. It is a very educational book. Kids preschool through second grade would probably be the ideal ages, with the younger children being read to and the older children reading the book to themselves.
