I got this book as a companion to London A Guide for Curious Wanderers. Hidden Corners adds to an already amazing collection of London’s hidden history. This is not your normal London guide book. This book lets you in on the hidden treasures that London has to offer. This is a great book for those who like to know the history of the area they are exploring. Wonderful illustrations too. The best part of both of these books are the detailed walking routes. These routes are thoughtfully laid out and let you explore the places detailed in each section. I will be walking all of these routes in May 2026, hope to see you there!

Excellent guidebook for the independent walker. The author picks places that are charming and not the usual tourist spots. He also gives the history of the sites. Even though I have been to London many times, I learned a lot from this guide.

London is so full of history. This book captures some great relics and provides backstories all in one place. Lovely illustrations as well.

This book is unique in that the pictures are drawings and beautifully done. Also there are many interesting areas described - a few of which I am familiar and note they are accurately portrayed. Well done!

I lived in London for over 5 years. I wish I had this book; It is filled with so many little details. I have plans to visit London for two months (September-October) this year, and I'm excited to put this to use. Thank you, Jack.

Anyone who has an interest in the great history of London should get this book, I have only just started it but find it fascinating.

Great resource

Just took one of the walks in London and saw things that Londoners have never seen. Little parks, abandoned churchyards, Roman ruins, all hidden behind buildings and around corners. People stopped and asked me if there was anything interesting in this or that spot.

What a lovely book! The information is so beautifully complemented by wonderful illustrations. Highly recommended for history buffs and those who prefer their sightseeing with a little more meaning and depth.
