Affordable drain clog clearing tools for do-it-yourself tasks
This set includes affordable drain clog clearing tools for do-it-yourself tasks. The auger is 25 feet long and will cover the length needed for most drain clogs. This set includes gloves and short cleaning tools for pulling hair and other debris out of a sink drain. I got this after a plumber quoted me a few hundred dollars to come unclog my kitchen sink drain line. I followed instructions and inserted the auger snake into the PVC opening after removing the p-trap and I ran it down the drain pipe many times to pull out a lot of debris until no more debris came up. That solved the problem, no more backup in my sink. It took a lot of time to finish since my drain had built up an extensive clog but I'd rather do it myself than pay a plumber for all that time. Just know what type of plumbing pipes you have and if it is suitable to use this type of auger before trying this.

These tools work well
The drain cleaning tools worked very nicely. One blockage was about three feet from the sink.

Gamechanger Tip
My husband was looking for an auger with a more flexible end to get around unknown fittings/angles and came across this auger. I ordered it in the evening and had it the next afternoon. WOW! In under 10 minutes he had the clog cleared that had eluded him for weeks. This was his third auger but the flexible funnel/ball type spiral cutter head was THE gamechanger. It easily maneuvered around the bends and through the trap. The reason for the 4 stars is it actually took two attempts due to a permanent kink in the cable and had to work to get it past the 22.5' mark to get it the rest of the way down the drain. Disappointed in having this cable defect in an otherwise perfectly good auger. He was able to do what was needed to be done but not sure if this would have or will in the future cause issue with navigating through the pipe and or trap due to the kink in the cable if more cable is needed. This time the kink was high up in the pipe next time I may need to go further. Also, in the description it states that the cable is retractable. Unless this was another defect, it had to be manually pushed back into the case. The bottom line is that it cleared our clog for under $40 versus having a plumber come out starting at $350. So that alone was worth the money. They also threw in some freebies which was nice but I would have preferred QA to have an auger come as it should with a straight cable. All-in all I would highly recommend this particular auger due to the end and flexibility and not waste my time with augers that are not flexible.

Save your money,hire A plumber
This is definitely not heavy duty.I inserted the rope into drain and immediately it broke from the shaft where rope was welded.Definitely not worth the money.Save the headache and hire A plumber. However I do believe that the cost for everything included in box was A good deal.Failed in craftsmanship though.

Did the job but poorly made
This tool allowed me to unblock a clog in a bathroom sink, and as another review said, it did pay for itself in that way. However, the build quality is horrible. The trigger that locks the cable for extending/retracting by rotation is not spring loaded so by default it is in an in-between state. To release the cable fully and feed it by hand, you must actively push the trigger forward. To lock the cable and feed/retract by rotation, I had to squeeze extremely hard to keep it from slipping with the drill, so hard that I was having to take breaks and switch hands to keep the trigger fully depressed for the twenty minutes or so it took to run the cable all the way out and all the way back. On that note, the trigger action should be reversed such that you squeeze to release the cable, but the default is locked so that when you are cranking/drilling one coil at a time, which takes much longer, you can relax the hand holding the tool's handle. Lastly, the most unacceptable thing is that, as another review mentioned, the axis of the hex bit that goes into the drill is misaligned with the barrel of the tool by two or three degrees. This means that when running a drill, you have to fight a wobble in each hand that becomes more unmanageable the higher you rev.

Good buy
Reasonable price. Auto feed is provided and an important feature. The housing is sturdy plastic to avoid rusting. I recommend others buy this device.

Works well
It's homeowner grade and that's all needed. I ran it down a drain that has given us trouble for a year, I'd use Drano and it would run slow for two weeks or a month and then stop back up and then more Drano and repeat. I took of the p-trap off and ran it down about 10 ft and hit something, I started turning the crank and it started going through it and in about 20 turns I felt it go all the way through and just pulled it in about 2 feet rapidly for maybe 20 times just to try and get it all broke up. I ran it all the way through the rest of the pipe as far as it would go but didn't hit anything else that I could feel. As I pulled it out I'd pull a couple feet and run it in and out a few times and repeated until I pulled it all out. This is not a super heavy duty pro product but for a homeowner like me that will use it 5 times and lose it or someone will "barrow" it never to be seen again this is a great product.
