Alive and munching
I've got a number of roses as well as flowering cherry trees that seem to be highly attractive to aphids. Usually a good spray with greenfly killer does the trick but it needs to be applied repeatedly, thinking that if the greenfly hang around then ladybirds should do likewise for a good meal. They come in a plastic bottle with a breathable cap. To stop the poor things rattling around in the post the bottle is packed with popcorn. Yes, you read that correctly - popcorn! Now as mad as it may sound it does make sense. It's springy, soft and robust enough to keep the ladybirds alive and healthy and it's bio-degradable ...... if it isn't eaten by the birds first. Anyway, I dropped the ladybirds on the roses and it would seem they needed a change of diet from popcorn as they got straight to work on the aphid problem. How long they hang around is beyond my control but at least they're dealing with the aphids in a more environmental fashion

Incredible!
I had a serious aphid infestation on one of my elder trees so instead of using chemical pesticides as the tree overhangs a plant the bees love, I’d give ladybirds a try. I bought 20 and wondered if that would be enough. 2 weeks later the tree is recovering beautifully, only shells of aphids remain, and the ladybirds have spread to other parts of the garden too! My infestation was so bad you couldn’t see the stalks on the leaves, it was black with aphids. If you put them in an aphid hot spot they will clear it out faster than you’d expect! Wonderful and just lovely to see them out and about too.

25 dead baby ladybirds. Not the greatest purchase.
Shame I didn’t read the reviews before I paid for a tube of 25 dead juvenile ladybirds. Waste of money but more importantly felt responsible for killing all these creatures by having them sent in the post.

Took their time, but 25 ladybirds arrived alive through my door!
Reading some of the other reviews, I was a bit worried once I'd already placed my order. But with aphids running rampant over my honeysuckle, I decided to take the risk and not cancel my order. Yes, they took about 5 days longer to arrive than I was quoted, but once they did, I opened my package to reveal 25 (I think, they wouldn't say still long enough for me to count) happy ladybirds, all alive and well, without a single casualty! I've released them all onto the affected plants and am excited to see my new aphid-free blooms. Although I did order the wrong thing and should have ordered the ladybird larvae, and not the wingéd version, but that's my fault. I let them out yesterday and still found about 15 of them out there this morning, so maybe they're here to stay.

Very naughty ladybugs.... Cute kids though
The ladybugs are the most horny ladybugs in the world. I put them on my peper plant with the world's worst aphid infection to try and save it and instead they spent all their time having ladybug orgies with up to 6 ladybugs trying to join in at once. However i am delighted because this has resulted in so many eggs! Its really awesome most of the eggs have hatched and now they are almost 2 weeks old and look like little black cuties. And they are so so hungry. Every time i look its like a horror movie for aphids! I was wondering if you have any advice on how i can keep them happy through winter. They are currently living on a bell peper Plant in my conservatory.

All ladybirds arrived alive
I have lovely roses that were covered in aphids. I didn’t want to use sprays if i could try a green method. All the ladybirds arrived alive and did reduce the aphids noticeably. I was hoping for some larvae before they flew to freedom but sadly none were made. Would be better for a greenhouse so they couldn’t escape.

Not worth the money
Not sure what to say... They took very long time to come so I am not surprised nearly half of them were dead. A day later when I was checking on them, only one ladybird was found in my greenhouse but still loads of aphids left. Not sure if they vanished or died. Not worth the money in my opinion.
