Obviously I can’t comment on the ability of this food to reduce allergies on only a 5lb bag. I’m not even allergic. I got this to try because someone who is interested in one of my cat’s kittens is. What I can comment on is the taste. In my cats’ opinions, not mine.I’ve attached 2 pictures. Amazon likes to rearrange the order I post pictures in reviews so I’ll describe in case they’re reversed. One is Monday March 3 when I refilled all their food bowls. The two bowls filled with darker food on the right are their regular food, an Iams kitten food. The two bowls on the left with the lighter colored food is Purina LiveClear.The other picture is the same bowls Sunday March 9. Only the cats have touched them, I honestly forget about the bowls until I deal with litter cleaning on Mondays. It seems obvious to me they far preferred the taste of this Purina to their usual Iams.But tasting better does not mean it does what it claims. It will be a few months before I can get feedback on that aspect from the person adopting the kitten. Personally I wouldn’t buy this for my cats in a million years. It costs the same for a 5lb bag as it does for a 16lb bag of Iams. I’ve seen high end all natural holier than thou brands cheaper than this (that make no claims of allergy reduction to be fair). But if it works I imagine the cost is worth it for those with allergies that could now be around cats.

We recently added a little kitty to our home, so decided to give this a go. Not only did she love it, but so did my other cats. So if they love it I have no complaints!!

This 5lb bag came extra sealed to not snag and opening I presume. - I have used PurinaOne before, and found the products to be off acceptable quality for my indoor cats (lately due to special dietary needs I had to switch brands). —. The LiveClear formula comes in 2.8 and 5lb bags, and is definitely priced in the category of “Specialty Foods” for pets! High priced at nearly $32, but in line what other stores appear to charge. This bag is the small kibble version perfect for Kittens “up to 1 year”; an adult version, I presume with larger kibbles to chew on, is also available. - Our cats (adults) seem to like it ok, ingredients do show chicken as first ingredient, smell is ok as well. -What is not clear to me is what (ingredients) make the product reduce allergens in cat hair; I would have liked to read a little more about that, especially for the price. The only info I found was “QUOTE”: According to a landmark Purina study, Pro Plan LiveClear has been shown to reduce the major allergen in cat hair and dander by an average of 47% starting in the 3rd week of daily feeding. So, too early to tell, and then not sure if I ever could really tell, if it (noticeably) works to reduce danger effectively for people not to be allergic to cats.**. It works fairly quickly – within twenty-one days you should notice a difference in your allergies (it reduces the major allergen in cat hair and dander by an average of 47 percent). Kittens will love the chicken flavor – mine devour this kitten food!

Approved by all three kitties! Someone did have some tummy troubles the first two days, but it seems to have been resolved by the third. Food didn't leave residue with the automatic dispenser and I did not have to adjust the dispenser for the new pellet size which is always nice. Cant exactly say if dander has been reduced, but any little bit helps especially during allergy season.

This is a 2.8lb bag, so if you really want to test the "allergen-reducing" aspect of it you will need to give this to your cats for a couple months. As far as ingredients, this Purina ONE is a good option and is full of nutrients for your fur babies. The pieces are small, which my cats liked. It is pricy, but if you find that it's working as far as reducing allergens in your household then it's probably cheaper than other options. My cats ate it right up and they liked the chicken flavoring.

I’ve recently developed an allergy to cats and rehoming is not an option. Purina is a brand I’ve trusted and fed to my animas for many years so discovering they now have a food that helps lessen the allergen was awesome. Since this is only a 5 lb bag I haven’t noticed any difference with my allergy but my cat likes the food so at least there’s that.

Kitten eats it ok but wish it was a tad softer for the kitten
