Sealed circuit board from moisture used in outdoor applications. Worked well.

Always great quality from MG Chem.
Works great. Deducting a star because it comes in a metal tube which will probably lead most of it drying up. I realize a plastic tube might not be an option for this stuff but it looks like it's in a plastic tube and that was part of the reason I bought it. I hate metal tubes. They always get a pin hole in them causing the contents to leak out or dry up.

Does the job, but cap does not seal well ...
Does the job, but cap does not seal well. After 3 months the whole thing was dried up, solid and unuseable.

I understand that ordinary RTV (the kind that smell like vinegar) can promote rust
I wanted a corrosion-free adhesive sealer around the nylon plugs I used to fill in holes left by a roof rack on my car. I understand that ordinary RTV (the kind that smell like vinegar) can promote rust. This has sealed and adhered well so far...

Good stuff, scary warnings
Probably no more risky than other brands but this comes with incredibly serious health warnings. The one that really caught my eye was something to the effect of "don't remove contaminated clothing from the work area". I think I'll be using gloves with this 😀

No Nozzle, "Non-standard" Threads
This just arrived. I did not read the answers to the posted questions carefully enough. Not only does it not come with a conical cut-to-diameter nozzle, it has oversized "non-standard" threads on the top. You will not be able to use a screw-on nozzle left over from that conventional RTV silicone tube you bought at the hardware store. I would send it back, but Amazon would probably make me pay the shipping, since I can't truly say it is defective or not-as-advertised. Not worth it. Sadly there is no way to apply it where I want to use it without making a mess. For reference: The threads on the top are approximately .552 in. major diameter, 14 TPI; or 14 mm major diameter, 1.75 mm pitch. The metric pitch looks a bit closer to right. It is hard to tell. There are only about 4 turns of thread, and they are asymmetric, steeper on the tube side than on the end side. (14 TPI = 1.81 mm pitch.)

great for supporting large electronic components on a PCB
works as expected. great for supporting large electronic components on a PCB.

Regular silicone sealant/caulking will corrode metals in components/circuits so this is essentially if you want to waterproof electronics. In my case I was sealing strip lights that we're going outside. Use in a well ventilated area and wear gloves - the MHDS makes this stuff sound pretty intense. Includes a screw on nozzle which can be removed/cleaned for reuse. Is fairly thick and difficult to squeeze out of the tube. Nozzle makes for easy precision application. Dries quickly (under an hour) and it flexible when dry. Doesn't deal well with mechanical abrasion (kind of crumbles off) and may not adhere well to some plastics but does perform well on stable/static applications.

Silicone works well for bonding various stuff together. I use this for iPad Glass repair. Keep in mind the shelf life of Silicone can be short as it has a tendency to cure inside the bottle if left long enough. So use it within a month or so. Don't buy it just to stock it, otherwise when you need it it may have cured already.
