Super fast and easy to make. A little mix with water, peanut butter (optional, not included), and 2 and a half minutes in the microwave is all you need to "bake". It's a microwave recipe and after a 15 min rest and yougurt icing application, you've got yourself a cute little cake! Easy to follow instructions are provided and we followed them exactly. I will say that the product picture is slightly misleading. It doesn't come with the sprinkles shown but that's not a deal breaker for me. You get a package of cake mix made of natural ingredients, a package of yogurt mix, the cake pan, a candle, and instructions. All ingredients are listed and clear. The cake pan will absolutely come in handy for more homemade treats in the future, and in my humble opinion, that's worth the price paid. Our Tippi is a 20lb beagle and a voracious eater so it was difficult to keep her from eating the whole thing in 1 sitting as recommended. She absolutely loved it though and we loved to see her dig in, memories made for sure for her 2nd birthday. I am 100% pleased with this purchase and will update my review if we come across any issues. I feel whatever happens, barring sickness of course, this was a great purchase and product. We purchased the carob flavor 'PetCakes Dog Birthday Cake Kit' for our puppy's first birthday last month and it was a hit. The kit comes with cake mix, frosting mix, and a bone-shaped mold that's microwave-safe. A quick mix poured into the greased mold is then microwaved for a couple minutes—the finished product smelled delicious enough that the humans were impressed (and our dog's nose was up in the air sniffing). Be warned, the frosting mix thickens up quickly and becomes unusable, so I wasn't the biggest fan of that portion. (I actually ended up making my own 'frosting' with a little Greek yogurt/PB/honey so that I could take more time to frost/decorate our pup's cake. It worked well!) Our dog would have happily eaten the entire thing in one sitting, but after taking some photos, we sliced the cake into thirds and gave him smaller portions over the next couple days (to avoid any potential tummy upset in our food-loving doodle). I really liked that all the cake ingredients were familiar/natural items—I felt good about giving it to our birthday boy. The kit also comes with a candle that's a thoughtful touch. Overall it was novel, cute and worth the money; you should buy it. Dogs deserve cake for their birthday, too!

This was really easy to make. The bone shaped mold is adorable! And reuseable, which is part of why I ordered this. I took off one star because the frosting was very runny. Which of course didn't matter at all to my dog. He loved every last bit of the cake! I suppose, I didn't have any yogurt to use for the frosting, but the instructions said you could use water instead. It might have been a little thicker had I used yogurt. But I don't think it would have been enough of a difference to actually be able to frost or decorate the cake like what they show in the picture. Think of it more like a glazed donut type of frosting than say buttercream frosting. Which, did actually make it easier, because I just poured it over the top instead of having to frost with a knife or spatula. I'm glad it fit in his food bowl! Definitely put it on a plate or in a bowl that will catch the excess frosting.

So cute , nice size and so easy to make . It also smelled good too. It was my first time giving this to my dog ,so was little scared to give it all to him. Just gave him few bites of it and he liked it . Will probably purchase again.

Very simple clear instructions. Followed exact measurements. Made sure to mix the cake mix and water first thoroughly and then mixed in the table spoon of peanut butter. Poured cake batter onto mold almost to the top (stopped half an inch or less from the top) placed in microwave for 2:30 minutes and took it out of the microwave keeping it in the mold I placed it on the table to cool for about 30 minutes. I made the icing with less honey than the recipe calls for and a tiny bit less water, I just mixed the water in little by little until desired consistency and it came out perfect. The icing wasn't enough to cover the whole cake but we didn't mind at all. Still looked great. I used grated carrots for the topping and Bandit (my doggie) LOVED it! It looked so pretty and cute. It must taste great for doggies because as soon as my doggie smelled it he started jumping with excitement and kept trying to get to it and as soon as he was able to eat it he wouldn't even pause. I had to save most of it though because it is too much for one serving...he is a small dog.

The cake is cute and easy to make but I think the taste is ok. My dog doesn’t really want to eat much. He just take a few bites of it

Terrible! The product was opened and repackaged it. The crumbs were all over the bag.

I bought this cake based on the great reviews it got. I didn’t have the same experience even though I followed instructions to the letter. The cake smelled amazing but I wouldn’t come out of the pan without crumbling, despite using a non stick spray as suggested. In order to get the cake to come out in one piece I had to then cook it longer than suggested, which then resulted in the cake coming out of the pan okay but then it was hard. My puppy didn’t seem to mind the flavour but we had to crumble it up for him. Not ideal for his birthday photo shoot.

Again another item where my dog looked at me and withbhisceues said wtf is this. Very rubbery texture, my dog would not even touch it or even go near it and if I put it close yo him he would push it away with his nose. Its a cute concept and the tray is cute but not worth the $ .
