Plasma Cutter 50Amp 240V HF Non-Touch Pilot Arc Plasma Cutting Machine, 3/5"(16 mm) Max Cut New Upgrade CUT50L

I was very sceptical when I ordered this plasma cutter thinking I was taking a chance! But fear not this little machine works like a dream. Don't be fooled by the size of it ,this is a beast! It comes with everything you need and some extra consumables. I made some little alterations to mine ,I cut the supplied air tube to make it easier to store and wouldn't kink. I also put a 1/4 inch quick change air hose adapter on instead of the brass tube connector that comes supplied. My compressor is a 50ltr and uses a quick change hose,so better for me. I've used it on 3mm sheet steel at 30amps and and 60 psi ,it was like a knife through butter. I have no doubt it will cut 12mm steel. As a first time plasma cutter user I find it so simple to use . At the moment it works fine on my garage's 13amp electricity supply as my compressor is running on a separate utility room supply. Great value as I got it at a lower price ,a big thumbs up 👍 Watch attached video for the upgrades I did .

Doubt the positive reviews. Wanted this to be not great just ok. Used one for years on and off followed directions exactly! but just didn't cut. I was trying 8mm just melted it didn't cut through at all. Gave up but tried again just to be sure but it packed up dead prob fuse. After 2 short goes it failed so returned.

Just received my new toy, and I was sceptical at first but what a great bit of kit! Cuts thin sheet (car body work) like butter, so much quicker then using an angle grinder. I have also tried 3mm thick steel and same results. 12mm thick Aluminum was a bit more of a struggle but with practice I'm sure I will achieve good results. So far very happy 😁 . The only reason for not give 5 out of 5 was the quick release fitting provided didn't fit my compressor and the instructions are basic but that is very minor.

What can I say about this amazing machine. It's much smaller than I ever imagined but packed the power of a much bigger/more expensive one. It comes supplied with everything you need to get you started (except a compressor) and if you didn't know it needs a compressor you have no business owning a plasma cutter. It's easy to set up and I recommend using PTFE tape on the connections for the air. Turn it on and you are away. It'll take a little bit of time to learn how to use the torch and get a decent cut but stick with it and you will learn the correct settings and method. I've only used it to cut thin steel at the moment but it sails through with ease leaving a nice clean cut. The fact it's a non touch torch also makes a big difference and means the tips need replacing less, saving you money. I never knew you could get a plasma cutter this cheap let alone this good. If you have a need for one do not question the build quality of this machine it's awesome.

don't waist your time

This item arrived well-packaged with all the required parts. The main unit itself is very well-made, and the design looks great on the bench. It’s a fairly compact machine, which is essential for me due to space restrictions. The kit includes all the parts and consumables needed for extended cuts and will likely last me a long time, as my intended use is for just one or two projects involving heavy steel plate cuts. Unfortunately, as someone new to plasma cutting, I had no idea that this unit requires a supply of compressed air to operate. This has dampened my expectation of being able to get started quickly. The machine and accessories appear to be of great quality, but, unfortunately, I can’t use it until I sort out a suitable compressor. This is the first time I’ve only been able to review an item based on its aesthetics and build quality alone. Hopefully, it will perform as well as it looks. As for a recommendation—I’ll have to remain neutral for now, as I currently have no way of confirming its performance.

This is a really great product. You need a compressor to get going though. It’s really compact, easy to use and very effective for all the things we’ve used it on around the home. I’m not sure whether this would stand up to heavy, regular industrial use but my mister is delighted with this addition to his tool shed!
