5GHz goes 800 feet and 2.4GHz in AP Mode
As an antenna manufacturer, we tested the range of the WAVLINK AC1200 Outdoor Long Range Weatherproof WiFi Extender in AP mode mounted at 25 feet. We used an iPhone and found speed dropped to 1MBs at 500 feet for 2.4GHz and 1MBs at 800 feet for 5GHz. 2.4GHz should go further than 5GHz, but that's the results. Coverage was good. Signal quality, strength, and connectivity was consistent. More data will be added as we test other modes. A big plus it that the software interface makes this system easy to setup.

Nice WiFi extender
This is what I needed to get signal from outdoor cameras away from the house running solar. I have about 5 cameras that use Solar to run power and this will get our WiFi out to them. It does cover my 10 acres. With that said our home is located roughly in the middle. I have WiFi game cameras and others at the drive. I have hunter’s all around. They have come up missing odds and ends of things. You have to cross my property to get where they are. You will get a picture taken now I have live feed. After a few months it has quit working not sure why, but I will check it out. In the meantime I’ll get a better one

It works.
It works. I have two houses across the street from each other. This connects them, except for a few seconds when a large truck rolls by.

Caused our main wifi to shut down
We had a delay in installing this due and missed return window. The unit worked fine in theory, but the signal it sent caused our fiber optic router to detect hacking and shut down. We had no internet until our provider came out and disconnected the wavlink. They indicated that it was not compatible.

This device was a GODSEND!
I purchased this as a replacement for one that I received for testing from another company that I was very much let down with. Right from the get-go you can feel this is made with good quality materials designed for outdoors. It functioned exactly as I expected it to and has not stopped from the point that I installed this. Setup was easy and connectivity was just as easy as well, I purchased this to be able to extend my signal for some wireless outdoor cameras I have on my almost one acre property that are a little ways off from the broadcast signal of my Wi-Fi. The price was very comfortable and I can honestly say it's a value far supercedes it's price point because it comes with everything you need to operate it in multiple ways and I'm comfortable in saying that this device will continue to serve me here and hopefully long after it needs to be replaced with a newer version fron the same company.

Easy set up if you have just a bit of experience in installing repeaters.
I am a bit perplexed regarding the installation parameters on this device. It is marketed as an outdoor model, and I intend to use at as such, but the instructions indicate that it should not be exposed to humidity. Rain seems humid to me. It could be that the interface unit and power supply could be the items not to be exposed, and I can understand that as the interface module is totally open to water intrusion. There is a bit to be desired in translation between Chinese and English, but there again, I can speak no Chinese so they did a fair job, all things considered. The instructions indicate that the RJ 45 cable be inserted through the seal. This is not going to happen. The seal needs split. There is a fine line on the seal indication the correct place to cut it into the thru hole for the cable. The instructional video on YouTube indicates the seal is pre-split. Mine was not. Using the old school method of accessing the set up page (192.168.10.1) popped me directly in to the set up page. From there set up was quick and straight forward. I am only using mine as a repeater for security cameras so the set up was very simple. Time will tell how well this unit functions, but my initial observations are favorable.

Hard to link it to your router and make it work.
I am not even using it, I had a hard time to connect it to the router, once connected I have a had time to connect devices to it.

Great wifi
We got this because of cameras that we have across our property. This was the first one that I tried and it is excellent. It was not big enough for my property but it works great as a Wi-Fi extender and is very easy to set up. I'm going to give it five stars because maybe we asked a little too much of it so we ended up buying a model with more antennas that gave us longer range. This one however is definitely worth it for those that needed a smaller area covered.
