This dehumidifier is a game-changer for our home.
I've been using my dehumidifier for about a year now, and it's been fantastic quality. It collects water so nicely, and it really makes drying clothes so much easier. Honestly, I'm really happy with this purchase. It's made a noticeable difference in my home. The capacity is great, and it's not too noisy either. I can definitely recommend this if you're looking for a reliable unit. It's been a game-changer for dampness. Definitely a worthwhile investment!

Absolutly a no brainer product. Terrific.
This is a terrific buy. Got it during Black Friday. I'm so impressed, as it was so easy to set up, clear, concise information booklet, well packaged and using the QR code, within seconds I was able to register for free, for the 5 year guarantee. I bought Meaco Fan earlier in the year, and I was very impressed with the quality, sturdiness and sleek design of both products. It's going to improve, my winter condensation issues, filter the dog fluff, extract and dry my washing, free my radiators up, and after much, deliberation, like you do, think I have a bargin and a super dehumidifier with hepa filter. With a spare filter thrown in. Also easy to move around, with a sturdy handle, which fits snuggly into the design of the machine. A no brainer. Very very impressed. 5* all the way.

Two-in-one: a dehumidifier and an air purifier.
Excellent value for money. It's incredibly useful because it's a two-in-one: a dehumidifier and an air purifier. You can control the desired humidity level, and when you reach it, it automatically switches off and starts the purifier function. Its clothes drying function is the best feature; you can program it for the desired times. The night mode is also very useful. Highly recommended; I've had it for over a year.

Wet winter windows? It's Meaco Time!
I have a problematic north-facing room which, during the colder months of the year, repeatedly gets condensation on the windows and black mould developing on the walls. Naturally the room climbs to 71% humidity, which classifies as "wet" or "high humidity". Tired of wiping down soaking wet windows every morning, I decided it was time to finally do something about it and invest in a solution. So I bought a MeacoDry Arete Two 10L, with the goal of permanently reducing the humidity in the room and hopefully minimising the amount of condensation on the windows. So how does the Arete Two work? First, you set a target humidity level (e.g. 55%) that you want to reduce the air in your room to. The Arete Two starts dehumidifying and keeps going to -3% below the target (e.g. 52%) at which point the dehumidifier stops (the compressor turns off). Then, naturally, the humidity level in your room will slowly start to rise back up. Once the humidity level is +3% above the target (e.g. 58%) the dehumidifier will start again (the compressor turns on) and so the process repeats. Currently, I'm leaving my Arete Two turned on continuously (which is how it's designed to be used), with the target humidity level set to 45%. According to the instructions, you don't need to empty the 2.5-litre water tank until the water full indicator lights up. However, I like to empty mine out every night, which over a 24 hour period is usually about 1 litre of water. I'm always surprised by how much comes out! What I like about the Arete Two: • It's a good looking product (streamlined and modern) made from high-quality plastics. • The colour scheme (black and white) is smart and makes me think of a Star Wars Stormtrooper or a NASA Space Shuttle. • It's been thoughtfully designed, with several hidden features seamlessly integrated into its form. • It has a hidden handle on top, which you can extend upwards to carry the Arete Two like a suitcase. You wouldn't know it was there, unless someone told you. • It has a hidden positionable louvre on top, which you can lift up to direct the clean dry air coming out. When the louvre is closed, there's no exposed air vent on top of the Arete Two, unlike other dehumidifiers. • It has an integrated cable tidy (on its right side, at the back) which is handy for wrapping up the power cable, to keep any excess off your floor. • It has 4 hidden castor wheels (like a spinner suitcase) which make it very easy to move around (on a hard floor) with just one hand. They're set in from the sides, so you really can't see them unless you put your head down to the floor. • It makes the air in my room feel clean, fresh and more comfortable to be in. I can really notice the difference when I breathe in. • The Control Panel's "chase display" shows the current humidity and the target humidity at the same time, in the form of a progress bar. • The 10L is actually quieter than the 12L (which has a sharper, more noticeable buzz), despite both models having exactly the same noise rating (35 dB). • You don't need to use the free H13 HEPA filter included in the box. Without it, the Arete Two simply acts as a dehumidifier only (it won't dehumidify and purify the air). • The water collected by the water tank can actually be reused to water your (non-edible) plants. • The packaging is recyclable. There's no polystyrene inside the box, only folded cardboard. • It comes with a generous 5-year warranty. Pro Breeze dehumidifiers only come with a 1-year warranty. What I don't like about the Arete Two: • It's surprisingly noisy, despite having a Quiet Mark certification. When the compressor kicks in, it sounds like a mini-fridge, with a deep buzz that resonates through the floor. And as the water tank fills up, there's also the faint noise of water trickling into it. • It's actually quite slow and takes a long time to bring the humidity level down. It of course works quicker if you're not in the room, because breathing creates humidity. • The water tank is an awkward shape to carry when full (you need to use both hands) and would benefit from having a built-in handle (like on the 20L and 25L models). • You have to remember to manually open the louvre, whenever the Arete Two is in use, to allow the clean dry air to flow out of it. • The dust filter needs removing and cleaning once every 2 weeks. Fortunately, it's a life-long part that doesn't need replacing, but it's still annoying to have another thing to maintain. • You can't choose the fan speed (low, medium or high). It's chosen automatically for you, depending on what mode you're in (e.g. Night Mode uses low). • There's no schedule feature, meaning you can't program specific times of the day during which you'd like the Arete Two to operate (e.g. from 7:00am to 11:00pm). • Mine was delivered without any packaging (no brown box) with the DPD delivery label stuck directly to the white Meaco box. "Ships in Product Packaging" is great for reducing waste, but can sometimes result in boxes that arrive dirty and dented. • The "10L" product name is a bit confusing, as it refers to the maximum extraction rate (10.75 litres of water per day), not the size of the water tank (2.5 litres). The 10L and 12L models have exactly the same size water tank. The Arete Two is a fantastic product, and I'm really glad that I bought one. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's solidly built and will last for at least 5 years. Just be careful that you choose the correct size (10L, 12L, 20L or 25L) for the room/area you want to dehumidify, so that the dehumidifier isn't underpowered.

Satisfied after a week of use.
Does a good job for a dehumidifier for the purifier it has hard to know because it doesn’t measure air quality. The App could have more functions, A bit noisier when you pair it with a carbon filter (The company made this known as well). With HEPA filter, it is low noise, I can sleep with the laundry mode on. It has wheels under and they work.

Great combined dehumidifier and air purifier
This dehumidifier is quiet and has reduced indoor humidity from 75% to 55% in two days for the entire 2 bedroom house (with high ceilings). It comes with a medical grade HEPA filter and you can also buy carbon filters to remove cooking / pet odors and VOCs. It is also Alexa enabled. It has castors to enable moving to new locations with ease, as it's quite heavy. Highly recommended.

Great dehumidifier, worth the money.
Super quiet. So easy to set up. It's pulling a lot of moisture from the air. An added bonus is the house actually feels warmer. I like that I can control it when away from the house with either my Google home or my Alexa app on my mobile. Very happy with it.

I will be comparing the MeacoDry Arete Two 25L with MeacoDry Arete One 20L both with the included HEPA13 filters added. First off this new version has a more robust build making for far less vibrations though one should have in mind that you need to give the dehumidifier some time to settle in as in "breaking" in for all parts to settle in and thus the noise, vibrations and resonance is reduced. Judge it after some use for it to be fair. The 20L was quite noisy initially due to vibrations due to weakness in the handle design making for a resonance effect which you could often counter by slightly elevating the handle where it added pressure to the build design. This went away after some time making just a soft air sound coming from the fan as well as the compressor making less vibration resonance. Now the new design is from start much quieter despite having higher Db rate with no resonance so just soft air sound (which is lower then the first edition despite higher airflow!) and the compressor is much quieter. In total far less noise despite higher Db rate in specs and also being the 25L version. Very impressed! As for the dehumidifying capability it also is far more effective than the first edition 20L. Pretty much half the time to dehumidify and as such also less heat is added to the environment during runtime. The display one the MeacoDry Arete Two 25L has been upgraded with a larger display that show far more information and the buttons with have more crisp and clean look due to better background lighting. You can do more on the control panel and also have more functions that are absent from the first edition Arete dehumidifiers. Now I have yet to test out the app to control it via the mobile but will update this review after using the app but so far it's a great upgrade worth the price and I really recommend people to look into this great dehumidifier. So far solid 5/5 stars!

It does as stated and is effective. Elegant design with wheels under the unit and a handle you can pull out on the top to move it around if necessary without issues straight to avoid compressor issues. The touch display is easy to use and the readings are clear. Water tank is easy to remove and has a handle you can pull out. Included is a H13 HEPA filter which you can install and besides it the built in dust filter. In case the H13 HEPA filter is already installed remember to remove the plastic cover else the airflow will be severely restricted although mine came non installed but seems it may vary. As for the fan it is comfortably quiet with mostly a soft wind sound but there is a slight 'humming' noise with only the fan running but I find it to be quite harmonical and when the compressor is running it is a notch higher but still for me not disturbing in a quiet room at 2 meters distance. I reckon the 'humming' noise should reduce over time as fans in general need to 'break in' during 50-100 hours. NOTE: Remember to let the dehumidifier stand straight for at least 6 hours before connecting it to the power outlet to let the gas settle down after the transportation as it is bound to shake around the gas and if it hasn't settled down before use it could cause issues or bad functionality. ADDITIONAL NOTE: I just figured out most of the humming noise in my case is due to the carrying handle. Pulling it out and lightly pressing it forward removes almost all of the 'humming' noise caused by vibration.

More expensive than I really wanted to pay but I’m glad I did because this is fantastic you would not believe the water this thing captures from the air unbelievable.
