Pet Peddler Dog Bike Basket Pet Travel Carrier for Carrying Dog or Cat on Bicycle

I really love my new pet carrier for my dog. My dog is a yorkie so it is the perfect size for him. The thing I like the most about the pet carrier is that it is very sturdy. I love the soft fabric in the bottom. The fabric is removable for easy washing. I also like that you can remove the mesh top if you want. It also comes with a cover that goes over the mesh top in case of rain. I also like the pockets in the side of the carrier to carry a collapsable water dish, it is also handy for carrying my phone. Overall it is a great pet carrier for your money.

I have been looking for something like this for our Nala for a while and I have been skeptical about all of the other bike baskets but I decided to get this one and try it out at least and NALA LOVES IT!!!!!!!! We used to have to make her stay at home while we went on bike rides and she would act neglected when we came home but now she can go with us! The fur on the bottom is nice and soft for her, the attached short leash gives me comfort that she won't jump out mid bike ride, the setup was super simple, and the rain cover makes sure she won't get soaked when it rains. They have thought of everything for this. The cover zippers off so that I can wash it. The overall quality is an A++, it has very good materials. I love that because of the zipper mesh cover now we can take Nala on our vacations, the included shoulder strap is super comfortable. This will help us bond more with our girl. It is perfect!

Did not even get out of driveway. Cute and appears sturdy but not functional at all. Only works if it’s empty. Our 8 pound dog could not ride in this. It’s small/cramped and collapses in and forward sagging forward so dog will fall out if topper not zipped and sage onto front tire of bike rubbing tire. The snaps to secure 2 straps are cheap and flimsy and came unsnapped with barely pulling on them.

I’m so excited about this product! My little mini schnoodle has a hard time keeping up with us on jogs and a bike ride with the family is out of the question. He’s a little too brave for a normal bike basket and I worried about him hopping out. Enter: The Pet Peddler Dog Bike Basket! This thing is sweet. It is easy to attach to my handle bars - and detach when I don’t need it. It has an internal collar hook for your pet’s safety and a mesh zip cover with a rain cover option. There are three pockets for poop bags or a leash or snack. It also has a handle so you can tote your pup along with you after you detach the basket from your bike. The inside has a supported plush dog bed that is super comfy. The outer material is durable but breathable. I’m glad I found it and Bowie is too!

One of the two buckles refuses to stay clipped so I'm returning it. The velcro strap that goes around the front post of the bike is too short. That could be remedied by buying a piece of velcro but a better product would come with a long enough strap that you could trim if you wanted it shorter. If it hadn't been for the defective buckle I would have kept it because otherwise it seemed ideal.'' UPDATE: This was such a good concept I re-ordered hoping the buckles would work this time. They did, but it still would not attach to my bike without sagging and leaning forward an unacceptable amount. I think with a beach cruiser it might work out fine, but just not with the narrow set of my handlebars. The velcro strap for the front post is still too short to use.

The product was as described and material was fine. I wish the hard bottom was sewn in as it has a tendency to flip up, launching my dog into the front of the basket. My dog is 7.5 lbs, and I have to keep him sitting at the back or else the basket will flip forward due to the loose bottom (the mock fur bottom piece).

nicely made.....will easily hold a 6 lb dog without sagging. My only complaint is that the strap to attach to the stem of the bike is way too short. Otherwise, great product. I used a dog collar to attach the basket to the stem of the bike and it works great.

The carrier broke in our first bike ride. The left strap broke as we were riding. Thankfully I was able to catch my dog. My chi-Yorkie is only 9 lbs.
