Purchased Large and Extra Large. The Extra Large is almost double the Large size. The Large fit 4 full size plush bath towels and a beach towel packed into the bag. When vacuumed down it was only 3.5" thick and fit into a regular personal backpack with plenty of room for extras. Recommend buying a 3rd vacuum pump as I did, it's stronger than included pump and was able to suck the bag down further. We're traveling for the summer, and carrying a travel steamer with us in the backpacks. This makes travel budget friendly with personal items and carry on bags for a full week trip.

We just bought a backpack with one of these vacuum containers attached to the inside. Then I went hunting on Amazon and found this to me. This is so much better because I can use my existing suitcases. The one I ordered did not come with a vacuum, but I could use the vacuum from my other suitcase that we bought. You can also push a lot of the air out yourself, but I really think that the vacuum works the best. I did get the extra large of this and it was very large! If I would order another one, I’d probably order the large or maybe two larges.. but I would consider ordering another one. I’ve actually given thought to buying some for my kids to help them when traveling. The zipper is really hard to open! Really hard! But it does open – maybe the more I use it it might get easier? But it needs to be tight for the vacuum seal to work. It really did condense my clothes and gave me more room in the suitcase. I really recommend these bags versus buying a suitcase with the bag built into it because I can put all my clothes in the bag, vacuum it, and then put it in whatever suitcase or even duffel bag I need I only gave it four stars because the zipper is really hard to use and the extra large was really big- i’d like to give it 4 1/2 stars but Amazon won’t let us give half stars

Wow!! This XL sized bag is a game changer!! I still have family in Jamaica so when I travel there, I take lots of things to give away. In packing this one XL bag, I took the contents of 3 huge shopping bags which was one queen quilt bedspread, 2 shams, 12 washcloths, 12 handkerchiefs, 6 pairs of mens jeans, 6 dress pants, 8 men's t shirts, 4 dress shirts and a tie. I then put the bag on the floor and on its side to zip up then laid on it to compress and closed the air valve cap. With all of that, it weighs 24.5 lbs and fits in one side of my regular sized hard-shell suitcase. The zipper is a little hard to unzip and zip but it did not feel like it would break to me. I am genuinely impressed with this bag and am ordering more right now!!
