The photograph shows a set of four exercise books which is what I expected when purchasing this item but I received one book only.

I have used these for years for work. Not too big, strong spline and plenty of pages, easy to take to meetings etc. Prior to Brexit we often went to France and these were always on my shopping list. Now I have found them on Amazon!

Great for practicing handwriting with a fountain pens. First " French Rule" notebook, took a bit to get use to it.

I love the smooth paper with french ruling. It's just the ticket for practicing my penmanship and also makes a great journal, no feathering and the ink doesn't bleed through. It's a delight to write on.

Great paper in a notebook to practice handwriting. Works great with fountain pens as it doesn’t bleed through unless your pens is super wet. It was a little pricey for one notebook, but my local store does not carry the french lined paper version. The thickness of each page is great at 90.
