LCD Digital Coffee Maker Temperature Sensor Thermometer for E61 Group Head Espresso Coffee Machines Monitor

Replaced a much-older (and malfunctioning) temperature gauge with a basic digital display and manual switch (forget to turn it off? Battery dies..) This is a much-nicer option that looks "almost factory" on my Vetrano. Yes, its an older HX model but still chooches out the great Espresso but, being that it is not PID-equipped flushing is the way you get "fine" control of brew temperature thus the desire for this. I like it; settable for either Fahrenheit or Celsius whichever way you prefer. As for quality and value we'll see how it does over time.

Comparable in size with the gauges on the VBM Domobar Junior. Came with a CR2032 battery installed and a spare in the box, along with spacers, allen key, wrench and brief manual. Takes a few tries to get orientation correct using different spacers, although this isn't difficult. As rough guidance - from approx 35 C took ~10s to indicate 99.5 C in boiling water. Stabilised at indicated 100.1 C in boiling water. Indicated 0.7 C in a primitive ice/water bath. No obvious means to calibrate if these are incorrect or drift over time. Auto-switch-off after several minutes. Happy with the unit - provides good information to support E61 grouphead usage.

This is well made and perfect. I like then design and size of this and having auto off is fantastic.
