Good quality. Assembly required.
The end result looks amazing as far as I’m concerned. However, assembly is definitely required. The holes that were pre-drilled in the wood did not match up perfectly with the fittings. This was not a huge issue as the screws they provided were good enough that they did not require pre-drilled holes. After all of the pipes and fittings were assembled, I simply centered it on top of the wood and screwed it on. Everything was packaged really well. I could have probably dropped the box down a flight of stairs before opening it and everything inside would have been fine. This thing is not as heavy as it looks either. The wood is actually hollow. I think this item was well worth the price and I do not regret my purchase.

It's good.
No instructions were included with it, and the holes that are pre-drilled for the flange do not line up, but it's not tough to figure out.

Not what it seems
The pre drilled holes wont line up unless you dont tighten the pipe so then the fixtures moves a lot. The ceiling bracket isnt designed for a standard electrical box. Now I have to buy an additional kit just to hang it. The wood beam is light brown to grey almost instead of dark brown unlike the picture. So after buying a different bracket, the only thing holding the fixture up were two tiny ball screwed on..and barely screwed on. The fixture was not secure and I would not sit my family under this fixture.

Looks nice. Missing parts. Poorly engineered.
I'm giving this 2-stars solely as it looks nice once you actually have it installed and does allow some creativity on hanging the sockets and type of bulb(s) utilized. The installation process however is arduous and requires additional user-supplied hardware and some light re-engineering for it to be safely secured. These are the problems I encountered with this installation:1. Immediately upon opening the box, very cheap grade styrofoam packaging is utilized. Meaning the type that disintegrates during shipping and immediately flakes off into pieces of snow everywhere. This is not related to the actual product, but it makes an absolute mess just to unbox it and only starts the frustration. I would recommend doing it outside.2. The included mounting strap is not the correct size for a standard 4x4" ceiling electrical box (why?) -- it is necessary to purchase and supply a hardware mounting kit separate from this purchase. (I utilized a strap designed for a ceiling fan installation which worked well and should have no issues with the weight.) The manufacturer actually included plastic drywall anchors -- as if anyone would trust the weight of this fixture on those alone.3. The screws included in the (incorrectly sized) mounting strap are not long enough. Be prepared to supply longer screws as only two or three threads will be accessible. Additionally, the supplied decorative round black nuts are of cheap grade metal that I wouldn't trust as load bearing. As the entire weight of the fixture, by design, rests alone on these two mounting points, I added my own heavier grade nuts to the longer screws, and installed the supplied round nuts over the load bearing nuts as decorative only. (This also required painting the screws and nuts black with a rattle can so they don't stand out.)4. The pre-drilled screw hole on the wood block (it is real wood at least) are not centered, and don't line up unless you don't thread the cross-bar pipes in all the way, which makes it feel flimsy. If you do utilize the provided pre-drilled holes the fixture's center of gravity will also be off and the fixture will hang crooked. Be prepared to measure and drill properly centered holes into the wood block so that it will hang level and true.As previously stated, the fixture looks nice once installed, however it was not a cheap option, particularly compared to others of similar design on Amazon. It would be expected that, for a price on the high end of the spectrum, that it be premium in grade, that all necessary hardware is included, and that the device is properly engineered. While none of the stated issues cannot be overcome, it is frustrating to spend close to $300 and have to provide your own hardware and a bit of engineering for it to be installed safely. Installation time, for someone relatively experienced with home projects, was about three hours, excluding time to go to the hardware store for necessary additional parts. This is high for a single light fixture, and most should be under 60 minutes. It should also be noted that bulbs are not included -- Edison-style LED bulbs that compliment the design will add about another $75-80 to this project.

Quality
The beam was not made from real wood.

Great industrial fixture
We like this lighting fixture because it can be customized and it really fits our industrial theme. The hanging hardware should be more robust for the size and weight of the fixture. The finish was also sticky as it seemed to be packaged before the varinish dried. We were able to fix ourselves.
