Can the cubes (16" and 20") be used inside the pool? Hoping to use as an end table next to lounge chairs within 2-3" of water.

The cube light is IP65 waterproof, but the base may be seep into water if you put it inside the pool for a long time. You can gluing on some corks as “feet, making bottom of the lamp exceed the horizontal plane.

Hong long is the adapter/charting cable?

I am not close to the unit right now but I would estimate at least as long as a standard iPhone charging cable. Maybe 3 feet long ?

Is this a good gift for kids?

I use this in my classroom of 21/2 and 3 year olds. They love building with translucent blocks and looking at x-rays on it. I bought accessories from Roylco (some are available on Amazon). The kids also love watching the colors change. This is very sturdy and I have had kids sit on it without problem. I think kids of all ages (and adults) would enjoy this either as a learning tool or as a conversation piece.
