Okay so lol I messed up on my left shoe which was my first attempt, and I did so well on my right, the second attempt. So what I did incorrectly was that I eyeballed the left shoe and did it too tight, as well as tied the 2 knots too big (I didn’t pull them enough to tightened them thinner) so it made it very difficult to close the screws. After a few weeks of wearing them, it snapped and I did the next best thing and tied it to the lace hole, I couldn’t re-knot since I already made the mistake of making them too tight. It was already hard enough to pull off and put on. What I did do correctly was my right shoe, I realized my mistake with the left, I instead placed my foot in the shoe after finishing putting in the laces so the stretch would fit me perfectly, I then slid in the screws and tied the knots thinner, after burning them to seal it, connecting and screwing on the pieces was much more easy than my left shoe. After weeks of using it, I can say it’s the best!! It’s so easy and convenient, very comfortable and I can slide my foot in and out without a hassle. End result is do not do what I did but do as I did do. Don’t fail like I failed my left shoe lol RIP Edit: It’s July 2024 and still going strong!

got these elastic laces specifically for these nike toddler sneakers that came with regular tie shoelaces that i purchased while pregnant with my first, not realizing how impractical and difficult it would be to try and attempt tying an almost two year old’s shoes!! these work wonderfully so far, making these air force 1’s slip ons! the “pink brown” is a pretty close color match for this pair of sneakers with the mauve suede, and i love the look and ease so much that i need a size up for my toddler! fairly easy to replace with if you take a second to think about it logically. it’s a bit of an eyeball/feel to know where to knot before cutting and then screwing the metal pieces together. whatever is on the shoe is not going to be able to be reused or adjusted, chances are you’ll have to cut it to remove if you need to. the knot has to be tight or it won’t fit into the metal piece. for reference, these are a size 4C toddler shoe and i used about half of one of the three long laces this pack comes with. in an effort to save as much as possible for future sneakers, i cut off what i thought i needed for one shoe, which left me with ends without the plastic bit that helps you thread the laces in…i wrapped some packing tape around the end to make my own makeshift plastic bit, worked like a charm!
