I bought this to go along with my new can opener that opens the seals along the top outside edge rather than cutting a circle in the top. My son likes tuna, so I needed a good way to drain the cans without using the cut lid. This is perfect. It's strong and easy to use. I saw one complaint that it doesn't fit in the tuna can: if you use the pop-top on the tuna can, this won't fit because the can has the inner circle from the top. I just use the side-seal can opener and ignore the pop-top and it fits just fine. This strainer is also perfect for draining beans and other canned vegetables.

This works perfectly on the 5 oz cans that require a can opener. I almost didn't buy it because I thought it wouldn't make a huge difference, but wow, it really does help you drain all the water out of the cans quickly. Highly recommend!

Resourceful little product, especially when using a side cutting can opener. Replaced a plastic one that I had many years ago that finally broke. The metal is sturdy enough to resist being bent in normal usage. Easy enough to clean, just wipe it out and put it in the dishwasher.

Smaller than anticipated for larger tuna can.

The drainer is a bit too big for the ring tab, I find I have to use the can opener. Other than that, it works perfectly. I'm eating a lot more tuna than I used to because it tastes a lot nicer when it's not soggy.

Gets all the water out of a can of tuna without spilling it and without losing any Tuna. Also works great on canned veg, mushrooms, etc.

This works very well for straining salmon without losing any in the sink.

As tins seem to get thinner and thinner, this gadget is great to rinse and drain tuna in the can. It goes right in the dishwasher, doesn’t tarnish or hold water in weird grooves.
