First Impression Are Great
When UPS dropped it off, the box was basically falling apart and half open on both sides, that was a bit disappointing and uneasy to see. However, everything was included and no damaged parts. The parts were packaged well enough. Assembly was very easy and straight forward, if you know how to screw bolts in, you'll be fine. probably took me 15 or 20 minutes and did it while watching tv. I used to sit in old hand me down leather executive chair and the butt cushion was flat, little lumbar support and no padded armrests. Immediately this chair is a night and day difference. the butt cushion is just tension mesh, so your butt doesn’t bottom out and hit the plywood underneath. the adjustable lumbar support feels great. the height adjustable armrest is way better. My elbows are finally the same height as my desktop, making typing much easier and more comfortable. The armrest isn’t padded with foam cushion rather a squishy rubberish material I guess, all I know is that they are comfortable and doesn’t hurt my elbows like my old chair did. The head rest is a little hit or miss. I’m about 6’3 and if I sit up all the way straight the bottom does go into my shoulder and its uncomfortable, however I tend to slouch a little and if I do its actually a little nice. I’m probably never going to use it while typing a paper or playing games with mouse and keyboard, but for watching YouTube videos and online lectures its nice. Overall its an exceptional chair for the price I paid, which was on sale for around $160. I can’t speak on longevity just yet but will update if I run into any issues. Very happy with my purchase so far.

Owned 2 versions of the Hyken and love them both
Huge fan of the staples hyken line. I spent 20 hours test riding chairs in stores and ended up with the full mesh one (held up for many many years, but the leg foam is starting to fall apart now). I liked that the full mesh one would help with butt sweat, but still felt comfortable enough for extreme gaming sessions lasting 24 hours or more. I still have the mesh one but I've gained weight over the years and the full mesh version is starting to feel a little narrow (I'm 6 feet tall, 225lbs btw). This time I bought the staples hyken XL and I love it too. Sitting down in this thing actually feels like taking a load off and is relaxing and super comfortable. I like that the XL has real springs like a mattress. I also like the mesh parts to help stay cool in the summer. The full mesh version is a fantastic value, but not suited for overweight people. The XL has room to breathe and has fantastic support. Highly recommend this product line.

Good value for the money
Overall very good chair. It was a little hard to assemble on my own. Just awkward mostly. Some of the pieces like the seat and back do not line up easily for the screws to go in and the tool they provide, while practical and helpful- it takes incredible hand strength to maneuver that tool. My #1 tip is don't tighten any screws all the way until you have them all in. Tighten them 3/4 of the way so you have a little give to manipulate getting them all even and then tighten them down to 100% once you set it will set evenly. I broke out my power drill with the Allen wrench bit, and even at the highest tork setting, I was afraid I was going to ruin my drill. It was screaming. There's no way I personally could've done this on my own without a drill, but someone stronger maybe could've. It took maybe 45 minutes to assemble and the parts were very well organized and matched the instructions decently well. Now that I've used the chair for the first time it's miles above what I had. So I do think it's a good value at this price point, I'm just slightly disappointed it feels like it has a reclined back and there's no way to control the recline. Its just a space issue. Where my back meets the seat feels further away than I'd like. It could be my own anatomy and won't affect others the same. The lumbar support is very good but I'll probably still use a cushion sometimes behind my back so I don't feel like I'm slightly reclined. But it did feel good to lean back into the seat, lumbar, and headrest and type on the pc and I could feel my posture was supported so much better than my last chair. If I use my pillow I won't get that. And that's important if you're trying to alleviate poor posture. The adjustable neck support is super nice. The chair is definitely made well and I don't see any of this ever breaking. The construction is solid. All in all - I recommend. I think it could be a little better, but I think buying desk chairs is tricky. Sort of like running shoes. Wish they could fit you for a desk chair!!! I don't regret the purchase but see myself maybe finding something else in a couple years. I'll get good use out of it. Also, tips from my chiropractor --- make sure your desk chair has adjustable height, arms, lumbar and has a headrest to support your neck. Hope this helps.

Most Comfortable and Great for Long Hours
This chair is very comfortable and works great for long hours at a desk. The breathable mesh keeps it cool, and the adjustable lumbar support really helps with back comfort. I like that you can adjust the height and settings to fit just right. It feels sturdy and well made. Great chair for the office or home workspace. Very happy with it.

Initial Impression - Quite Nice
Just after assembly: As an office desk chair, quite nice. The adjustability of different chair elements is impressive. Lumbar support is quite good. Assembly: A.) Decent hand strength is highly recommended. A 5mm hex wrench is supplied, although if you have a nicer 5mm T-handle hex wrench, your hands will thank you. B.) The bolts that hold the chair together are very nicely packaged. The thread sealer is color-coded. The instructions clearly indicate where each set of bolts go. C.) A reasonably sturdy tall kitchen trash can is an excellent assembly platform.

Headrest: FIrst of all, the headrest is counterproductive. I know this is an ergonomic chair and it's designed to make you sit straight but this feels like it might give me a hunch back. There's also no way I can sit on this for more than 15 mins. When I work, I need to be comfortable enough to work for hours and this just frustrates me while I work. Seat length Secondly, I read some reviews about this before purchasing but didn't think it was that big of a deal. But NOPE! I was dead ass wrong! The seat length is way too short!!!!!. It's uncomfortably to short and I'm 5'10. Not sure if it was built like that intentionally or it was just built for a 5'5 person. Everything else is fine, but these 2 reasons break the deal for me!!!! I sold it to someone else as a result

It's the same chair I tested in store at staples, and it's not as comfy because it's brand new. But once it's broken in. I expect it to be comfy. It's got an airy seat so if you get hot down there, there's ventilation. Depending on your height if you're +175cm/5'9 i don't recommend it, since you'll sit past the head rest which cannot be adjusted. It helps me sit up straight compared to my old gaming chair, and for my height it's comfy enough. Just need the seat to sag a little so the height goes down a bit. Assembling it took some work, but not impossible to do alone. I would recommend this chair if you're not taller than 175cm/5'9
