These put such a smile on my face and my family's face when I served them here in the Pacific Northwest! I'm not sure what's going on with any of the negative reviews because these are delivered soft, fresh and delicious every time. You will love them if you're on the hunt for a New England style bun for your hotdog, lobster roll, crab roll, or other sandwich!

Ouch: Overall Great Product; taste great, lightweight texture, easy to digest, easy to hold yet very soft and strong, great buns, I have purchased twice, and a definite reorder; the only draw back, that some of the buns, not many, contain mold; yes I will reorder, hopefully without the mold - Love the buns.

They were very expensive. They were also very small. I didn't realize the package of 6 buns was only 9 ounces total - my fault. I bought these to make lobster rolls. These lobster rolls will be very very small. I will never buy again. Certainly not like the ones in Maine.

Being from New England and living on the west coast ... these are not sold in any local stores ... these are my favorite type of hot dog buns and I was raised on toasted buns ... the other type do not toast up as well as these ... purchasing these gives me a taste of home, am sure I could get a better price if I still lived in New England ... but I am still happy with this purchase and will purchase more ...

Fantastic lobster roll bread! The buns are perfect size/shape.

We got these for the Super Bowl, because we live west of the West Coast and could not get proper rolls at the grocery (and didn't feel like baking them ourselves). They were perfect: buttered and grilled, they held lobster and tasted like the coast (we make Connecticut rolls, drenched in butter. I'm sure they would have worked equally well for the Maine style, but i honestly can't assess without a lobster donation, which is always welcome). They came a day later than Amazon said they would, which was cutting it pretty close: we got them Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday. They tasted incredibly fresh, like they were baked that day. We went through a few bags, and two rolls from the last bag. Then we spun the last bag closed and left it on the counter in case someone wanted a hotdog. Two weeks later, the bag was still there. I checked the rolls, and... they're perfect! Still in great condition, still soft, no mold or decay. I have no idea what you have to do to a roll to make it outlast Twinkies, but these things are bulletproof. We did not buy these as healthfood, and the preservatives contributed to welcome authenticity and a very happy game.

I agree with other reviewers who said these are kind of spendy for a hot dog bun. But I grew up in New England and, like other reviewers said, if you live in the southwest or the on the west coast, you can't find this style of bun anywhere. Mine arrived in great shape; I bought the larger quantity so the per bun cost was a bit more reasonable. I brushed the sides with melted butter and grilled them and they tasted very good, just like I remember. I used them first for hot dogs but I will definitely use them for chicken salad and fried clams. Certainly a frivolous purchase but very fun and I'll probably buy them again.

These buns are so dang little! I am sorry I spent $14.00 for 6 itty bitty buns.
