Worth the money, really nice quality
I have a large, custom sized skylight window in my office. I needed blinds that would fit the window, block out the light and was easy to control because it would be difficult to reach. I purchase blinds from zShine. They were very thorough and professional a) on ensuring that I have the right measurements, they sent a separate email very quickly after the order to confirm my size request on purchase, b) I received the blinds within a week of ordering, c) It took about 90 mins to install (remember it was big and required two people but its more than doable) and lastly d) its genuinely really nice (see photo). The overall quality is good, the blind material is good, and it just works (no hassle). I would buy again if I needed custom blinds, its worth the money knowing it will be up there for years.

Very nice shade
The remote controlled skylight shade is as it appears on the site. We bought an espresso frame and cloud shade. It keeps the sun out by doesn’t totally darken the room. The remote works very well since is is in a skylight I’m not sure how I’ll reach up to charge it when the time comes. We measured about a half inch smaller to be sure the frame would fit, so I bought a piece of molding to go around the entire frame. Assembly and installation took about two hours with my handyman. Looks and works fine.

Confusing but easy assembly. Amazing battery life and operation!
Following the assembly instructions were a bit tricky, not actually hard but knowing what to do took a few views of the youtube video. Once I figured it out, it was pretty simple to assemble. The other tricky part was screwing it in place, as my skylights were about 12-14 feet up, which took some balancing miracles to do this solo, getting at least one screw in to start, after that it was a breeze. Two notes: 1. measure, measure, measure. The skylight glass, the opening near the glass and the opening near the ceiling were all slightly different. Go with the smallest dimensions, any gaps you can fill in but if you are too big on any of these, it will never fit into place. 2. the batteries last a really long time, amazing! I ordered this Dec. 2023 and use it about 4-5 times a week, it is Feb. 2025 and today is the first day I am having to recharge the battery! I almost got the solar add-on because I was afraid of battery life but my goodness, over a year later and this is my first charge since install! Just don't lose the charger, place it somewhere you will remember in a year. The remote is still going strong, no battery changes.

Disappointed!
Very difficult to install. There are no pre-drilled holes, and even with a power drill the screws would not go in. The instructions are unclear, and after installation the blind only moves halfway and gets stuck. I had to remove it, and the product was damaged during removal.

Crespo the greatest Technician
I love the product so far. I bought two cordless motorized skylight blinds. We installed this today both of them. First one did not have issue and very easy. Second one i had a issue with limit. The issue fixed next day by Crespo ZSHINE technician. Customer service was very responsive. I like to give all the credit to Crespo the technician who helped me. He was very professional and patience. He helped me with smile and fixed the issue in a few min. One of the best customer service i had in a few years. Summary: the limit of the motor will be clear when it was blocked at the first time, and it will get limit in the new position if it was blocked at the second time.

Defective unit
I bought two of these, the battery options that plug in to charge, and internet adapters. One of the units works just like I hoped and I'm very happy with it. The second one, not so much (more on that below.) As far as the fit goes, I couldn't have been more pleased, I measured the skylight frame opening, not the drywall opening (intentionally), and I removed the skylight frame and installed these in them, a very snug fit, then reinstalled the skylights. That is the only possible way you can install these if your dimensions are bigger than the drywall opening. It makes for a very clean looking install. I'd only recommend this way for someone who understands and is confident in their abilities. If you're unsure, definitely follow their instructions carefully. These are shipped in tube cylinders and require assembly of the frame, but the electrical wires are already spliced, connected and sealed. Unfortunately one of my units wires detached during shipping, because part the hardware was sliding back and forth, putting a lot of pressure on the wires and breaking their connections. Thankfully, it was obvious which wires went where, and I had no problems twisting the wires together and sealing with electrical tape. Overall, if that was the only issue, I'd be rating 5 stars. I am unsure if that issue has any bearing on the real problem for me (I'm not sure which one had the wire issue from shipping as I quickly fixed that issue.) The problem is: one of the motor's or battery will not operate normally. Technically it will open and close, but only after repeated commands on the remote, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down...etc. It needs time between each button press to move a little bit and stop. It will move just a hair at first, then after a few clicks it will move a centimeter, up, down, and I should note it moves slowly compared to normal. Then, it will suddenly work completely normally, either direction, no issues, at normal speed and will continue to work normally for a couple minutes at least. Thankfully I have the other fully operational one to know what is normal. It is not a binding issue, the motor isn't being stressed. After it decides to work, it will close and open all the way without issue, even 5 minutes later it usually will work fine. After a little while though 10-15 minutes and beyond, the same process is needed to open or close it. This is especially disappointing because I bought these with the intent of automation, using the internet adapters. Obviously I can't use that feature with this issue, unless I was to figure out a way to have the unit programed to open and close once a second, 20 times in a row. I obviously should have asked for a refund or warranty, but I received the item right before a vacation and by the time I installed it and figured out the problem, it was out of the 30 day window. If anyone from this company has any advice, I'd welcome it. It seems that it must be either the battery or the motor being defective, as once it's 'warmed up' it works normally. I consider this to be a major issue, but I only went as low as 3 stars because the other unit is functioning perfectly and is everything I hoped it would be, and because I failed to act within the 30 day window.
