Love this Light Ash Brown formula. My hair is "grey" (actually white now) and this ammonia free color covers my grey completely. What I really like is that the color lasts much longer than other ammonia free colors I have tried. Many ash brown ammonia free products use henna in the formula which results in red or brassy undertones. This product stays smokey (ash) even when color starts to fade. This product is gentle on the hair and scalp, more so than other ammonia-free hair color products I have used. No itchy bumps on scalp with this product and longer lasting results. Although Madison Reed is twice the cost, it is well worth the money.

Really good but bleeds. I recently did the color on my hair and let it sit for 40 minutes to ensure a deep color in my hair. I did not bleach it and just put it on a medium brown hair and it's perfect. It bleeds when i wash it and i wash my hair pretty often. The dye makes my hair feel a little dry but thats expected with any permanent dyes, just use a hair mask or deep conditioner after. But the color stayed in well! Would recommend to anyone wanting a burgundy hair tint to darker hair colors! The first picture is initially after dying and drying it and the second is after a week with washes every 2-3 days.

I've been dying my hair for YEARS with box dye and more professional dyed from beauty supply stores and this is definitely one of my new favorites. The extras in the kit like the stain remover and barrier are super nice to have, and the color is PERFECT. It also left my hair feeling so much nicer, and it still does. However i have some pretty stubborn greys all along my roots and they're starting to show again after about two weeks, which is a bummer. I don't know if any dye exists that can help me with that tbh. I bought it on sale, it's hard to justify for $35 if i have to touch up my roots that often but if I didn't have greys it'd be perfect.

This color is exactly what I’ve been looking for❤️❤️ Easy to apply, not runny, the included wipes for color that gets on your skin are great. This is the only color I will use from now on.

The color is pretty and I was a fan of the high-quality and relatively eco-friendly packaging, but it did not really cover my grays despite concentrating on the gray patch and leaving it on for the full 45 minutes. It covered a few, but not all. Moreover, it distributed nonuniformly on my roots and more uniformly on my mid-lengths and ends, so it looks like I did not just spend an hour during my hair and still need to touch it up. Anyway, maybe it will work for you if you do not have stubborn grays and very meticulously apply it (though I was being thorough).
