Q: What country is this mushroom powder grown and processed in?

shitake powder all from china...Unless it fresh. Yes, the product is assemble inSingapore but where it is grown is not the same place. China dominate the mushroom trade. I have been buying mushroom powder for about 20 years.

Q: Is there any seafood in this?

No seafood. Ingredients listed are: Shiitake Mushroom Powder, Salt, Mushroom Extract, and Calcium Carbonate.

Q: What are the storage instructions after opening the package ? How long will the package keep after being opened ?

It says to "store in a cool, dry place" on the package.. I bought the takii umami powder about 3 months ago and the "best by" date is 5/18/2020. Hope this helps.

Q: Does this product have any MSG in it?

The taste bud tickler in both MSG and Umami is glutamate, but the source can differ and likely explains difference in body reactions. MSG's glutamate is made by by fermenting sugar--usually sugar cane or corn. Japanese umami seasoning often comes from other sources. Takii umami, for instance, i from shitake mushrooms; others use fish extracts. If you have a sensitivity to the source of either, try the other. I'm allergic to corn, and I react strongly to MSG, but never have trouble with umami in Japanese restaurants.
