Scala Mens Felt Fedora Hat

Great Fedora hat. !!!! Fast delivery in a large box uncrushed along with another grey hat. The size is true to size.!!!! This is a real immitation of the classic 40's fedora you wear with a zoot gives you the full gangster look. The only drawback yet minimal and not too bothersome is the brim.I dont find it rigid enough but hat can be shaped the brim too but the brim is a little loose . For a shooting purpose there is no problem. I own vintage 40's suits and a photographer proposed me to take pictures of me since I'm a tango dancer . I will post some pictures here as soon as the pictures are taken. It has a nice red feather on the side. there is a transparent inside lining that reads "Scala Classico ". Handmade since 1921, Dorfman Pacific co. Very satisfied with this hat and definitely give it a 5 star !!!!!

I like the hat, a tad small, but overall pretty good for the price. What I didn't like is how it was jammed into a box that was too small and therefore bent the brim all out of shape. Not cool. Now I have to figure out how to reshape the brim so it doesn't look like I plucked it out of a damn dumpster. Thanks a lot Amazon for my new misshapened hat. Lame.

I measured my head and thought I needed an extra large but apparently I did not. The hat was way too large. Although the hat comes with filling strips, I had already purchased such strips. After placing these strips along the rim, the hat fit better. Now it is just a matter of adjusting the hat's rim to suit my taste.

Could be nice buy if stored and shipped in protective hat package. Potentially a really nice hat...except brim was wavy and curled up, had to spend some time and effort to fix brim

I have researched and researched and read review after review and finally selected the Scala Fedora. I have a cheaper Fedora which I like but it is cheap. This Fedora has professional written all over it from the materials used to the liner in the hat. The size is in the S/M/L/XL language but they also give us sizes in inches and centimeters. I wear a 58/59 so I selected Large, and sure enough, right on the money. The hat arrived in a box that I thought was a little too small and when opened, it was confirmed it was too small. The crown was crushed just a little but after a few minutes of forming with just my hand, the hat popped right in to the original form. So at first disappointed but relieved to know it was a non-issue. The hat is comfortable to wear. It did come with sizing tape I will not need it. This I am very happy about. The other hats that are one-size are cheap and IMHO not worth the money. If you want a hat to look good, spend a little more and get a quality hat. Now, I am sure there are better hats out there and if one has a hat shop to really spend time looking, go for it. But in this case, all I had was reviews (and some that almost scared me away from this Fedora) to go on and this Scala Fedora WF536-BK3 won the day. So much so that I will get eventually get the Grey version. Happy hat hunting.

This is an extremely well made hat. Stiff, with a satin liner. I am already ordering another one. High density felt.

A very decent hat for 27 bucks. I wanted a Fedora (a real Fedora, not a Trilby) to go with my funeral/wedding outfit and this fit the bill nicely. Luckily, mine did not arrive smooshed into a too-small box, as has happened to other customers. Finding hats that fit is generally difficult - my head is 24" around - but I ordered this one in a 2XL and it fits just fine and looks good.

Edited review: I returned the large and replaced it with a medium. It was shipped in a box far too shallow. The hat was crushed from the shipper piling other items on top of it. As I’ve stated before, this is a beautiful hat for the money. The medium was on the lower end of the medium’s size range, too small but within stretchable range. Back to Amazon for a hat stretcher, then a pot of boiling water, some hand manipulation to restore the crushed shipping damage and voila … a hat that fits properly! My earlier statement about Scala selling hats by actual sizes still stands. Sizing tape can make anything stay on your head, even a bucket, but it doesn’t make it fit! Everyone’s head is different and you may luck out in getting a factory perfect fit. Original review: I wear hats, high end, some custom made by Americas 1st hat manufacturers. It’s a beautiful hat for the $$$ I really want to like and wear this hat but the more that I look at it, the less I wish to wear it. S/M/L/XL is no way to buy a hat. Scala needs to sell this hat in real hat sizes. I laboured extensively on what size to order. 7-1/4 is my size, the crossover from medium to large. Based on reviews, I ordered a large … wrong choice. No amount of sizing tape can fix this, let alone look stupid. Com’on Scala, take the guess work out of something that should be simple!

Hat was way too big. Larger than large. My error for ordering it. But looks good. But returning to company costs $60.00. Only got $35.00 from Amazon because I used Canada post. No ups location near me. Still waiting for refund of hat. Live and learn

I'm a 7 5/8 and the size chart said I needed an XL. It was WAY too small. I definitely needed a 2XL That said, this hat is a beautiful work of art. Fantastic design, vintage look, satin lined ... it's a beautiful Fedora. I returned it, but the price had increased by the time I got my refund. When it goes on sale again, I'll definitely buy the 2X size.
