The reason I purchased this item is because my hair stylist told me that rosemary oil, and also castor oil, help with strengthening and thickening hair. I have gone from way too much hair in my 40s to thinning hair in my 60s, and am always looking for something to at least maintain what I have. I have high hopes for this oil because the effect is immediate in decreasing breakage and making my hair smooth and easy to comb through - which results in less breakage and hair loss. It also makes my hair feel very silky and looks much smoother, almost as much as with a flat iron. I tried using this a couple of different ways. First on dry hair, which made my hair appear oily even though this is not a greasy oil. The best method I have found so far is to apply drops all over my head after conditioner and comb it through, from scalp and roots to ends. Then I rinse it out. The effect of the oil remains without the greasy look, and I find the scent of this to be warm and pleasant. As my hair is much silkier and sleeker now requiring no detangling, and just as a bonus the blow dry was about half the time which is also kinder to my hair - this is why I have high hopes this oil will be very helpful with strengthening and ultimately thickening my hair.
