This product was sent to me for review as part of the Amazon Vine program. The following reflects my real-world experience using it. It is a good-quality piece with a robust and sleek feel. The cold-shoe mount has been properly machined, ensuring a secure and accurate fit with any accessory. Though the listing states it is for the DJI RS series, you can actually use it to mount your phone to a standalone tripod, as well - something I will be doing, because the phone mount I am currently using is quite flimsy compared to this one, and doesn't hold my phone up for long (I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is pretty heavy). In summary, a good value item.

This is actually quite a nice bit of kit. It's primarily designed to mount in the shoe, but it does have a 1/4" tripod thread mount underneath too. The entire thing is made from metal and so feels solid and robust. The arms that cradle your phone or lined with rubber that offers a good grip and stops your device from getting scratched. I particularly like the fact they've put 1/4" tripod threads all over it to allow the attachment of peripheral devices. The resistance built into the hinged areas is strong enough to support my notoriously heavy model of phone without any issue. It's got a nice finish to it too. Feels well made overall. I have some similar plastic versions of this and whilst they've been made well, with decent plastics, this metal one just feels higher quality. I like the fact the phone mount arms are quite deep too so that they'll accommodate my thicker phone even with a thick case on it. Not seeing a great deal to dislike if I'm honest. The only thing I would have liked to see would be some adjustment rings for the 1/4" threads. It would mean you can lock the threads of at the exact height you wanted. This isn't a problem if your mount has a thumb-turn tightening knob, which most do, but for the times when they don't an adjustment ring would have been handy. I already have some though, you might not. Nice, quality thing. A little pricey maybe.

The mount is high quality and feels very sturdy. The phone mount doesn't have many clickable positions so you can't fix it in a particular position there's no in-between stops, it's only landscape and portrait. It doesn't have individual notches so you can't turn it at various angles, So if you're horizon isn't straight there's no adjusting this! Which I think is a shame. Because it's missing a crucial feature I have to deduct some stars. ⭐⭐⭐ Otherwise this would have been a five-star product.

This mount appears to be well made though I have one concern and that is there are two pivot points connecting the base to the holder and there appears to be no method of adjustment should they loosen over time and nothing is mentioned in the included booklet.
