If you are looking for whole body red light therapy, this product conveniently can do almost all of your front and back simultaneously, except for maybe your feet sticking out, plus it is not designed to do your face. If you want to also treat your face, you may wish to purchase an additional smaller red light therapy device to do that separately. This red light therapy mat is dual, so it does the 650nm (skin deep) and 850 nm (muscle deep) simultaneously. This is good if you always want to do both, but you can't turn one of them on or off separately as with some other products. I generally use it for 30 minutes every other day so find the timer convenient, which I presently have set to 30 minutes. It has five power settings but I always use it on P5 (the max) so don't really use that feature. I do not find the strength of the light, even at P5, terribly strong, but strong enough, I would say. The density of the light matrix, in other words how close the lights are to each other, is good (not too far apart). If you put too much pressure on it, the chord that connects on the way to the power source (there are a few pieces that fit together) can sometimes pull out, so you have to be a little careful about that when, for example, getting in and getting yourself adjusted. It is a little odd that the top mat has to be plugged into an electrical outlet separately from the bottom mat. I use two separate 6-foot electrical extension chords for this purpose. It took me a while to figure that out when I was setting it up. Another little quirk is that it makes no sound or beep when the red lights come on or off, so if the chord does pull out, or the timer expires, you can sometimes miss it if your eyes are closed. It is important to keep your eyes shielded when using red light therapy and this product comes with some special sunglasses for this purpose, which is good, but I bought red light protective goggles separately which the tighter fit makes me feel a bit more secure about. This device is best if you have a sufficient surface area to keep it on permanently, which would be approximately the size of a twin mattress. As a matter of fact, I put an old mattress, which I no longer use for sleeping, on the floor of my home gym to keep the red light therapy mat on. The red light mat fits well on the mattress, and perhaps makes it a bit more comfortable. As to whether red light therapy will confer health benefits upon you, I am not knowledgeable enough to pass judgment on that one way or the other. You may wish to review the scientific literature and make a judgment for yourself.

I love this Red Light Therapy whole body mat! I was introduced to Red Light Therapy through my chiropractor's office a couple years ago for weight-loss and loved the results but not the cost. Yes, this product is pricey but has saved me thousands of dollars over the past seven months. It's still working and providing more benefits to my entire body versus select areas. Besides relaxation on a larger platform at home versus the narrow chiropractor's table (yes, I occasionally fall asleep while using) it has helped relieve pain and inflammation. The head-rest area is great for stimulation of head-to-toe therapy. It's very easy to use; just unbox it, clip the sides, attach the power controls, turn it on and choose your preferred settings. During the winter months I would turn it on the highest setting for 2-3 minutes prior to getting in for warm and cozy comfort. This product gets my 5***** rating and 100% recommendation!

I consider myself a pretty thorough researcher of products I intend to buy, especially when there is a significant cost involved. So I did do my homework. I was so happy to find this particular red light mat, as it crossed off everything I was looking for, including the best reviews. I have purchased other types of red light therapy products in the past, and I did love them, but they have some flaws that have kept them from lasting like they should, and I have brought these defects to their attention, but I still see they have not improved the design… therefore, wasting my money, as they should still be working, as I take careful care of them (spent about $1,000 as well!)I love this mat - I find it very relaxing to crawl into it and soak up all that beneficial red light therapy - I usually can fall asleep, it gets nice and warm (I “preheat” it, for a few mins so it’s not cold when I first get into it) it’s not too heavy, and I use the bottom for the top, so I can treat my face as well. This mat is very well made and I anticipate it lasting for a very long time! It is a little cumbersome to move about, but, I have a spare bedroom, so I just keep it in there, on the bed, so it’s ready to use at any time - this does make it easier than bringing it out and putting it away for each use. I definitely feel it helps with my skin, hair and well being!! I love it! I definitely would recommend this product :) 5 stars!
