Feel a gale of wind on a hot still night
A texas workhorse . Every hot patio needs this. While it is louder then baby fans, this oscillating fan is amazing when it comes to power and force. Danger: if your guest has a wig - don’t think about using it.

Really poorly made. Motor caught on fire less than two months old!
My neighbor has a 24" Air King and it's really well made. I purchased the 30" to hang in my garage because I have more space. It worked for a couple weeks and then sparks came flying out of the engine and then it caught on fire. I was able to get it unplugged and the fire blew itself out. But the motor is completely melted. I requested a refund from Build.com and then would not since it's over their 30 day policy. So I'm dealing with Lasko/Air King warranty department. They are sending me a new motor but not a complete fan replacement. I'm really disappointed in this product.

Not my best buy at Amazon
I am not really happy with this fan. It is not balanced and the parts are not the best quality. You can buy a better quality floor fan (made I suspect by the same manufacture) from SAMs Club for 1/2 price. Cut the support and hang it from the ceiling. I don't have the box to pack it back up and return it. I am usually happy with Amazon's value but not this time.
