I hesitated to buy the tortoiseshell version of this agate ring because it seemed that all the other colors were more popular, and I assumed there must be a good reason for that. Yet, I really did want a ring with brown and Amber tones for my jewelry collection, and it came in my size, 5.5, which is often hard to find. Well, I was very pleased when I received the ring. It is beautiful! The coloring is lovely, and the ring is somewhat translucent, which is what I always hope for with agate pieces. if you’re looking for a ring to go with the beiges and browns and olives and rusts in your wardrobe, grab this one. :-)

I've ordered three of these rings from Amazon (by way of Whitestone Jewelry) in the past week or so. I've already reviewed the black onyx ring that I received first. Yesterday I received this Tortoise Shell Agate and a few days earlier I received a Red Carnelian Ring. These rings are truly stunning. They look as they appear on the web site, and they fit true to size. I've only recently begun wearing some simple jewelry items again, and I'm very glad that I made the acquaintance with Whitestone Jewelry Co. The items shipped fast.......all arrived before the expected due date. And now for the price! I must tell you that's it's hard to beat. Finding quality at this low price, makes me want to buy more from Whitestone/Amazon. Which I will. Finally, the folks at Whitestone Jewelry truly appreciate your business. With all three orders, I received a handwritten thank you card from Ann, thanking me for my business. If you like quality at a good price, I wholeheartedly suggest giving these folks a try. My spouse and I bought a matching pair of these so that when we travel internationally, we can leave our actual gold wedding bands at home. The green agate looks great! They feel solid, and the green is very pretty. And for the price, it'll be no great loss if one falls off while swimming in the ocean, if we get robbed, etc.

I am truly disappointed you could not include even a simple box for protection. I bought this to remember my brother who passed away at a young age on Palm Sunday. I wish I had chosen another company to buy from. Clearly this one does not care about receiving repeat customers. Additionally, there are ugly ring-lines inside the band that were not pictured in the description. They are not even symmetrical and make the already pricey item look unfinished. - 1 star For an item of this hardness, and given the reviews, why this item arrived in no box, no bubble wrap is disappointing. Given the item is black, it is impossible for me to tell if it subsequently suffered internal fractures in delivery. And, it can take time before those proliferate into a crack that breaks. This is not a cheap stone ring! Why is it not given the same care in packing that a similarly priced item in sterling would be? Even cheap stainless comes in a box? Because of this, I cannot give it 5 stars. I cannot give it 4 stars, because I'm probably going to return it since there is not a way to see if it was cracked during shipment (and there is little way it wasn't, considering how it was packed). And this involves me packing it (ironically) because it is "jewelry" so using my expenses (packing tape) then my gas to drive it to the UPS store or pay UPS $8 to pick it up. Design suggestion: The item itself, is comfortable although I would have preferred a wider but thinner band (and I knew this before I ordered and did not take off stars). That is a design suggestion only. Sizing: The item fits smaller than described, and I did remove a star for that. Update: after talking to the seller, I was told that the rings are all different. I knew that and so does anyone who can read. Also, I was asked if the imperfections on the inside of the band made it unwearable. Well, no, but ... was that what your description and images show? No. Misrepresentation. I still ordered a larger size (went a whole size up) and it is too big. And wow, guess what, still had the rings on the inside. Although the seller told me that was not a typical occurrence. Yeah right. Maybe just be honest and say your rings aren't finished underneath? When I get a refund on the 8.5 I will try an 8. Still received in the same crappy shipping envelope with no box or padding. Nobody else seems to sell black agate bands, and I want one to wear with my star wars ring and fingerprint ring that is arriving Monday to commemorate my little brother who died far too soon. I wish this company was nicer to work with and didn't lie about their products. Thanks and good luck.

It looks just as beautiful as advertised. Be advised!! Measure if you can! I eye balled a guess because my partner has huge hands and when I received it it was rather large so I thought I was good. He ended up needing a size up and I was ready to ask the vendor for a larger size ( I’d seen a review where someone got a free ring after accidentally getting the wrong size by accident) but I could only do a return and I’d get my money back when received by the seller. So… I Guess it’s only for some and not others.. some people say they got freebies like extra rings or something. Must be rare again because I got no such special service lol. Anyways. Ring is nice but only fits partner when his finger is “thinner” early in the day.

I got this to complete a Loki costume for Halloween, the green was perfect and I’ve worn it several times since and received compliments every time. It’s comfortable and true to size.
