I am a beginner in pickleball but I definitely feel the difference between this paddle and the ones available at the gym. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of five because it feels like the grip is coming loose and I haven't had it that long at all. Love the color.

I just started playing and this racquet seems to be a quality one for my needs. Able to get some spin off the ball and it's a good weight, not too heavy, but doesn't feel flimsy like some of the public use racquets that I've used. Grip is good, even when sweating.

The racket seems OK, except that upon even the first use, there are visible impacts of the ball, as if the paint is being chipped every time the ball hits. After only a few times playing, the surface of the racket shows many many hit impacts. You can feel the asperities when you pass your finger on the surface, so it is certainly changing the racket. As a beginner, I don't hit the ball particularly hard, so I was not expecting such fast deterioration of the racket surface. I am not sure if it is normal or not. A friend who got a racket from the same series but a different color does not have this problem. I looked at people's rackets where I play and I don't see this problem. Maybe I got a lemon?
