I just got this a couple days ago, so have only just tested it a bit for function and quality. It is sharp, works well, and seems to be well-made. One feature I do not like is the leaf spring, which is also a safety issue, as it is always on, and, therefore, the trimmer is always open. This makes the inclusion of the silicon cover neccessary to prevent accidental damage or injury. The only other option is to remove the leaf spring, as it is held in place by two screws, but I would still use the cover as the trimmer is quite sharp.
