Knock your socks off sound, super comfy, high quality build, good ANC
I call myself an audiophile but honestly, just havent found the perfect headphones.... these PX7 S3 are awfully close to perfect. Vs Airpod Max USB-C Sound quality on the APMs are very close to the PX7s and everyone knows these are the market leaders (whether the fruit company cares about them is a different problem). Just incredible sound on the PX7s and weight is so much better, I love my APMs but I slot the PX7s above the APM. Vs Sony XM6 I had last 3 generations of Sonys, 4,5,6s. There are so many things great about the Sonys, especially ANC. However, for me, so disappointed, the biggest 3x issues for me - my ears touch inside the ear cup even after aftermarket pads. I swear my ears are "normal". I cant wear them for this reason alone. I am not a fan of the sound, I know, crazy but the soundstage is so narrow, I dont know how anyone can say the XM6s have amazing sound, its fine, nothing amazing, that tiny driver they use can only do so much, finally, the build. When I turn my head I can hear the plastic creak, sorry for the price I cant recommend them. Vs Bose Ultra 2nd Generation Yes, the Bose have great fit, good build, but tired of Bose shortsighted EQ and limited sound stage and other gimmicks. I returned these because the sound was just not there even after EQ. Bose should try to develop a new driver and not keep reusing the same driver for last 6 years (serious zero innovation). Overall Sound Quality is stellar....just beautiful sound. Great drivers and the improvements with the new amps on each driver, new chipset and improvements on the voicecoils are really noticeable vs the S2es. I wish I could hear the Px8 S2s as reviews say their amazing but the price point I would be afraid to take them on trips. Fit is amazing, zero pressure or comfort issues, ears dont touch inside and the headband is great and clapping force is perfect (I have a big head though so this is saying a lot!). App is great and I have EQd these which is great - would be nice if B&W had a bit more advanced EQ but it achieves what is needed. A few cons - mics could be better on calls but not bad, usable and no one has complained. Would nice if the earcups were just a hair wider and would be nice if there was bit more bass hit/extension. Good job B&W on the S3's! Looking forward to the S4's and continued improvements.

Perfect sound. Decent ANC. Top notch build.
Coming from a musical background, sound quality is my biggest weighted factor when evaluating headphones. These are above any others I’ve tried in this price range (Bose QC Ultra, Sony XM6, Apple APM). The app isn’t as feature rich as Sony’s app, but it’s 5-band EQ is all I needed to get the perfect sound (though, it’s honestly near perfect right out of the box!). Sound stage is a tiny bit bass forward, but it doesn’t take anything away from the clear, articulate highs. My tip - boost the mids just a tad in the app and you’ll have a perfect EQ for modern music and everyday listening. Build quality is also important to me. Once you pick these up, then hold a new pair of Sony or Bose for the same price, you can never look back. They feel like plastic toys in comparison. The only other pair of headphones that match the build quality here would be the AirPod Max’s, but I prefer the design and look of these PX7 S3s. A mix of leather, aluminum, and fabric - they look elegant and refined. Heavier than the Sony and Bose, lighter than the Apple. Perfect middle ground in my opinion. Not uncomfortable whatsoever. BIGGEST DRAWBACK, and really my only complaint is the Active Noise Cancellation. It’s just not on the same tier as Apple, Sony, and Bose. They really are the leaders in this category. Does the ANC here suck? Absolutely not. It’s just not the best if you want complete isolation. If this is your biggest weighted criteria when buying new cans, it’s the only time that I would not recommend the PX7 S3s - go with the competition. For me, I have a pair of AirPod Pro 2s that will suffice if I need more ANC. But if you want a solid build, with long battery life, real physical buttons, outstanding sound quality, and a straight forward app that allows you to EQ even further, and if your budget is up to $500 - these are VERY hard to beat.

Easy to Listen and Pleasing, but…
I am an audiophile and music is one of my passions in life. I do own a few high end speakers and headphones: Focal Utopia, Focal Bathys, Monolith M1070 Planar, AirPod Pro 2, couple of Bose QC, and Bose NC700 among my current collection, and I’ve tested many more over the years. After reading so many good reviews and seeing people are comparing this against other ordinary headphones, I decided to order one and see how it stands against the Focal Bathys that currently is just a bit more money. The history of the bacterial processed cellulose drivers Bowers used in Px7 intrigued me which are the closest you can get to the legendary Sony MDR-R10 from the 80s that did cost $2500 per pair back then and would be $6500 adjusted in today’s money, so Px7 S3 price is well worth the test! Unboxing and First Impression: Box was easy to open. You get the sliding cover out, remove the bottom of the package perforated paper sealing, and you can remove the top half. Unboxing and holding the headphones all screams quality, and the low profile and smaller size against Bathys made my mouth drooling. Bathys is way bigger. On your head you actually can feel the big size and weight, which is not comfortable for longer use. Px7 S3 is much slimmer and lighter which is amazing. Overall, more comfortable. Connecting to Bluetooth asked to get the app and set up was easy in 3-5 min creating an account. It had 64% battery. Sound Quality: I have mixed feelings. Openness, separation, soundstage, and clarity definitely goes to Focal, but lower end extension, smoothness, noise cancellation, and overall loudness goes to Bowers that has a pleasing profile. I would describe the sound of Bowers as transparent and coherent, and Focal as exciting. If I can have only one pair, I would go with Focal for the better clarity and being better on more tracks, but Bowers is better than most headphones like Sony XM6 and Bose QC Ultra. However, Bowers boominess at times bothers me, and Focal is better with most vocals male or female. Now keep in mind, Bowers has a new 5 band equalizer, and I could mimic Focal’s profile by reversing the V shaped sound of Px7 to some extent by adding +1.5 to band between LO and MID, +3 for MID, and +1.5 for between MID and HI: [0, +1.5, +3, +1.5, 0]. After everything, still more songs sound better on Bathys while some do better on Px7S3. Bathys is like the singer is singing in front of you, and Bowers is like you’re listening to a hi-res recording with more vibrations from your subwoofer. I should mention that Px7S3 can get very loud thanks to new dedicated amps, but it gets distorted. When you increase Focal’s volume, clarity is there but things scream very brightly at you. Neither one is great at highest volumes. Maybe the better comparison is between Bathys and the upcoming Px8 S2 which was mentioned in the users manual, but for the current Px8 (version 1) with carbon fiber drivers, I think Focal has an edge. Conclusion: If you’ve a pair of high-end headphones like Focal Bathys, you don’t need to upgrade for better sound quality. However, if you need like more portability and better ANC, then Bowers Px7 S3 is a good choice with a nice history on the drivers material. It is definitely better than consumer grade headphones like Sony XM6 and Bose QC Ultra. As for me, if I didn’t have three pairs of Bose, I would keep this one for travel and commute and keep the Focal at home. I am just not sure if I need another $500 pair. *** Update Regarding In-Flight ANC: My first air travel with these headphones was a little underwhelming. During takeoff, I kept hearing these horrible pulsating noises, and on air, every time I turned my head towards the window, I heard more humming engine noise. I even had a chance to update the firmware to the latest, but it didn’t help with ANC. I will try again on my return flight again and hopefully I will have a better seat. Update Return Flight: Okay, so the noises are there for ANC. No matter which side of the plane you are sitting, left or right, turning your head to the right will increase the humming noises. So if you are in an F-seat near the window, looking out increases the noise, and if you are on an A-seat, still looking right to the isle will do the same. Must be an uneven microphone array positioning issue that only does this when turning right. Take off noise is still there too. The best way I can describe it is when you roll down the window driving fast on a highway. The same throbbing annoying wind buffeting sound happens during take off.

Honestly review
This is THE BEST HEADPHONES under $600-500 i ever Use. I compare with Bose QC ULTRA GEN 2 & SONY XM6. Pros 1. Sound Quality is top tier. Crystal Clear & sound stage The best Loudest almost same like PX8 And if you like More Heavy Bass just set EQ low to +6db incredible. For Overall AUDIO Better then Bose and sony 2. Connectivity is so Smooth and So fast then Bose and sony. 3. ANC and Transparency almost the same like Bose Ultra 2. But SONY XM6 Is Better. 4. Battery Life. Good enough for 30 hours. 5. Looks and Quality Top Tier looking Luxury and styles not like Bose and sony using Cheap Plastic. 6. Future you can use USB Losless audio or 3.5mm Cons 1. Expensive 2. No future Immersive sound or Head tracking sound like Bose qc ultra 2 have it. 3. No speak to chat or conversation ambient sound future. Even sony xm6 and Bose have it. 4. To expensive Without includes those Future.

Exceptional Sound, Premium Build, But Comfort Issues for Extended Use
** Returned the product after trying out for a week ** These headphones offer exceptional audio quality, with a crisp, detailed, and balanced sound across all frequencies. The build quality is top-notch, with premium materials that promise durability. The noise cancellation is effective, and the 30-hour battery life is impressive. However, I must mention that comfort is a concern. Despite my average head size, these headphones feel quite tight during extended listening sessions. After 2-3 hours, the clamping force becomes uncomfortable, which is a bit of a disappointment for headphones at this price point. They’re suitable for shorter listening sessions or commutes, but not ideal for wearing all day at work or during long flights. Overall, if you prioritize sound quality and build over all-day comfort, these are fantastic. Just be aware of the fit if you're sensitive to clamping pressure.

Best Mid tear headphones in the market
Let me first start off by saying I also bought the Sony WH1000XM6s to compare with these. I thought that I would be keeping both for weeks on end because I was thinking that they both would be close. It only took me one hour to decide. They are both very good headphones, but while the Sony's focus is on being excellent at noise canceling and okay to good at everything else, the B&W focuses at being excellent at sound and very good at everything else. They are a brilliant pair of headphones. Listening to both on various genres of music made my decision easy. The mics on the Sony's may just be a little better for calling as well. I'm telling you, once you hear the B&Ws, yo won't want to keep the Sony's. They are both very comfortable. The Sony's look and feel like gas station plastic headphones. They are very light. The B&W are not as light, but light enough and they look and feel like very top tier headphones. I highly recommend this product for those that want something that punches above its weight in build quality, sound, and smoothness in switching between apps. Before I forget, the out of the box sound is very good, but adjusting the eq settings take these things to another level. Don't feel bad if you bought the Sony's, just please understand that these are better. I also purchased the Focal Bathys MGs as my high end headphones, and these only lose to them in sound by a little bit. However, these switch between devices extremely smoothly unlike the Focals.

Great if audio quality is #1 priority, ok ANC, lots of bass
Great detailed sound, decent ANC but not on the level of Sony/Bose/Apple. I find the ANC good enough; I don't really need the ANC tech that shuts out the entire world - and when I do I have an old pair of Sony xm4 earbuds that do it just fine. You will really only know if the ANC is for you if you try it, but Bowers' goal was clearly more to create a good listening environment; less to screen out all noise. You'll hear your music on a plane just fine. You won't be deaf to the rest of the universe. I refunded a Sony xm6 pair and got these - am very happy. The bigger, deeper earcups are more comfy to me, and while I've heard some say the clamping force is excessive, I wanted to voice a contrary opinion and say I actually prefer it - the Sonys rely on gravity and the headband starts irritating the top of my head within 30 minutes; these I could wear all day. In terms of sound, I prefer these to the Apple, Bose and Sony offerings at this price point. I get better clarity, a wider soundstage and generally a more detailed and immersive experience. I'm not a huge spatial audio aficionado, so the present lack of spatial audio and promise of adding it in a future update isn't really a concern for me, but a good stereo field provides plenty of detail. On classical recordings, I can hear so much detail that I'm catching page turns and chair creaks I've never noticed in my favorite recordings. These phones are bass-heavy. If that's an issue, you've been warned. It doesn't distort or ruin the sound, but it's powerful. The USB-C, 3.5mm and bluetooth audio connections all work well, though I might recommend a 3rd party USB-C cable if you're streaming audio from a gaming handheld with vibration - the included cable is firm enough that it transfers vibrations from the console to your ear, meaning you will hear a buzz when your Switch/SteamDeck/etc vibrates.

Upgrade Experience
I bought these as an upgrade to my Beats Studio Pro 3s, of which I'm on my second pair and have been using them for many years. I will keep the Beats in my "arsenal" they're better suited to handle sweat, from what I understand. The Px7s are my go-to for having a good car audio experience. > The ANC isn't as sweeping as I was expecting, but it definitely tones down the road noise in my 335i. > The audio is definitely a step up from the Beats, as you would expect for an additional $250. I'm not an actual audiophile, but I am a musician and I mostly listen to jazz on these: you definitely hear all of the acoustic instruments with greater clarity. Even listening to podcasts, I feel like I hear more of the room ambience. > The battery life is as advertised: I listened to them for six hours on a recent car trip and they were at 85%. > I would not have bought a pair (like the Sony in this range) that lacked physical controls. These are less intuitive than the Beats, but you do get the additional ability to fast-forward and rewind. > I found the auto-sensor that pauses audio when removing ear cups too quirky for my tastes, even after the firmware upgrade; I have disabled that. > I like the EQ feature in the app, and have left mine with a permanent mid-boost that works for my ears. > The physical comfort between the two is not significantly different, though it feels like the Px7 encompass and sit flat over my ears. Oddly, after a few hours, the cushioned band on the Px7s starts to bug me a bit. On an unlimited budget, I would definitely consider upgrading to the Px8 S2, to get just that additional little bit of audio superiority. But within the price band they occupy, these are a nice step up. I am definitely happy with my purchase.
