This will be easy: pros and cons. The cons are that it might be easy to lose this in the couch cushions. Seriously. And everything else are pros. I really like this. I gave it a torture test right when I got it, for audio quality, sensitivity, duration, and file transfer / playback. Each and every one of those was fully adequate and completely satisfactory. Maybe the big surprise is that it comes with every flavor of cable you will need for charging, transfer, listening, or anything else you might want to do. Very well thought through. This is a voice quality recorder and it does that very well. I don't think it would record music with high fidelity, and I didn't even try. (Sample rate is 16000 Hz and 8000 max freq response.) The parameters are adjustable if you're slightly geeky, and the defaults will satisfy the casual user, and can be left untouched. And in that regard, you buy this, you open the box, and switch the little on/off switch, and you are using the product. Zero setup and zero confusion. To play back, or to retrieve the mp3 file(s) it takes a teeny more effort, but to actually.capture the audio, it really is that foolproof. You can plug in the USB cable to your computer and this device, and it looks like a simple thumb drive. It's that easy. And to listen instead, with no PC, the headphones and button interface works very well. Besides the caveat for the couch cushions, also be aware that if you touch or move your fingers or bump the case while recording it will pick up that noise. So it's best to lay it down or hang it somewhere and don't touch while recording (just like any microphone!). You can tell I am thrilled by this purchase. I bought it as a dedicated recorder for my club's satellite QSOs, and I hung the recorder off the radio using the lanyard. It's just great for this purpose. And I will probably.buy a second one for my casual recording needs around the ham shack here. At this price, why not? [edit: spelling]

I was very impressed with the size of the voice recorder, it is small enough to fit into any pocket, making it seriously portable for any occasion. The exterior housing of the recorder is also made of high quality metal materials. The sound recorder is super easy to use, voice can be recorded by clicking a single button or use the voice activation. The recorder comes with 64gb of storage capacity, which is more than enough for average user like me. But hey, it is always good to have some extra storage space available.

Loud and clear, also serves as a music player. It serves the function well and is a good addition to every day life. Good value

I find this voice recorder a bit unsettling as it is so small and works very well. In my pocket it can comfortably record the entire room with the flick of a switch. The controls are simple making it perfect for covert recording. This makes it perfect for recording conversations you are part of covertly. The reason I said 'conversation you are part of' is many jurisdictions allow you to record conversations you are actively taking part in. This is referred to as 1 party consent in that one person in the conversation needs to consent. There are MANY areas that require all parties consent and punishments for violating this can be very bad. They sometimes call them wiretapping laws. ALWAYS consult local laws and regulations to ensure you are not violating any laws before using a device like this. It is generally illegal to record conversations you are not directly a part of, so avoid doing that as it will end very badly. With that in mind, this is a powerful, compact, and simple audio recorder with a simple interface and a huge storage. For $49 I feel it is a great value and I am delighted with it. I forgot to add about setup. It is fairly simple using their windows app. You can set the time, format, quality, etc. with ease. The image in the listing makes this seem far more complex than it actually is.

The outer case is a nice finish sturdy metal that is very light and compact. It is ideal for a student attending lectures or dictating notes to listen at a later time. It has just an on-off button, with the on button triggering the record function. With its 300 mAh battery and a 64GB memory, I am impressed with its 35 hour recording capability. A full charge takes about 1.5h charging time. I connected to my laptop to setup the time and see that the time was already setup and everything looks uptodate and ready to use. Even the battery was pretty much at full charge as it took less than 10 minutes to get to a solid LED indicator. Charging is though a USB-C port with a very short cable provided. Testing the recording was simple and straightforward and I connected to my laptop to copy the recording file (which is in mp3 format with the date recorded as the file name) and listen to the recording. Voice was very clear with no static, but the source of the voice must be close or loud enough. I can listen to the recording from my laptop through its speakers or in private through the earphone provided. It comes with an English and a French instruction manual which can be explained in clearer terms. None of the functions is printed anywhere on the recorder, except the ON OFF button. Therefore it is critical to keep the instruction manual handy. I have scanned the manual to put on my cloud for easier access in the future. I like the voice activation feature to save battery life and to avoid recording period of silence and therefore easier to review. This function is not active by default, but needs to be activated, by connecting to a laptop or computer ( short USB-C to USB-A provided) and changing the settings, which is not user friendly at all. There are multiple indicator lights to display different status, and these are useful to have, and they are explained in the manual. The one big negative that I see is that I have to connect to a laptop to listen to the recordings. There is no possibly to plug in the earphone directly from the recorder.

This digital recording device is as advertised and functions well; and it really depends on what you want in your recorder and how simple you want to keep it. I have tried a variety of recorders and this is one of the simplest - basically just on and off, and after the initial light flashing, there is no continuous lights that remain on. So depending on your uses, this could be a good thing. The housing is metal and it seems quite durable. The only tricky thing is, if you are not computer savvy at all, is you have to set up your options via a computer (PC or MAC), you can choose your bitrate, MP3 or WAV format, voice activation, etc.. After you set that up though, you are good to go. The quality of my test recording was very good, crisp and clear. Listening to it, you can listen directly via the accessories provided to you (using headphones), but I like to see the file that I'm listening to, so I just simply hook it up to my laptop via the USB C cable provided, and it automatically pops up on my computer, allowing me to choose the files to listen to. If you want a simple recording device, this is great, if you need more options right on the device, or if you want to pause in between, then maybe you need a larger device - the beauty of this is the compact and tiny size and imo, simple operation, for someone who doesn't want to , need to, or know how to deal with more complex recorders.
