Thicker gloves with handling, even removing it from the package. I used screws to secure it to the wood, and was secure. You can bend it and cut it if it is too long. Nice to be able arrange the spikes, but do so with care! Nice that it bends to fit your space. I like the fact that the spikes are sharp and deters animals. I.e. rabbits,birds without severe injury. The “pricks “ are enough to keep them from your area without injury. Keep out of access from children. I would buy again. Like no using sprays or traps.

If you’re sick of the squirrels eating all your birdseed, buy these. Just be careful installing them around the pole, wear gloves! They are very spiky

These spikes are useless for keeping squirrels away from bird feeders. The squirrels walked across the spikes, and even hung down from the spikes.

Works great on squirrels so far but doesn’t deter Raccoons.

Seems to be working to keep rabbits and other critters out of my raised beds! After trying many things to no avail to keep rabbits and squirrels out I got a 60 pack of these and scattered them around the perimeter of my garden beds and around the broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes and cabbage near the center of the beds. Something made an attempt to eat the sweet potato slips the day after I set the spikes out but I could see evidence of a quick exit from the garden after coming in contact with one of these strips. It's been almost a month now and no sign of any critters! Looks like I'll have a crop after all ;) Also, no signs of rust on these so they likely are stainless steel.

Just installed. Does NOT install as pictured. Buyer beware, this purchase consists of 5 x 12" pieces. It is not a continuous role of spikes. It is somewhat difficult to install, and unless you wear gloves, you will easily cut your hands. I do not know if it will harm squirrels or just deter them. Hopefully, just deter them from the feeder. Having only installed this device a day ago, I do not yet know how effective/dangerous this item is.

Out of my bathroom window. I saw squirrels coming down the top of my board fence. From there the were jumpy up on the roof of my house. Not a good idea for them to be up there. Potentially gnawing into the attic. Purchased these and attached them to the top of the fence Bent them in a fashion where there's was no way a squirrel could possibly maneuver to a place where he could jump on the roof. Haven't seen one even try. The thing are stainless steel and razor sharp

I can write all day everyday about this product in such good ways. First, it works as intended, Second price is reasonable. Third, it WORKS! I purchased this mainly for keeping raccoons off the sidesteps to poop and wash themselves. Then I put some on the fence to keep them from climbing over from the neighbors to my yard. The neighbors has Mango trees.
