Well, I have entered the Wonderful World of Menopause, along with the many delights that it brings with it. Up until recently, I only experienced the annoying aspects of it, hot flashes, tiredness, numbness in the extremities, etc. No biggie, I just shake it out and pull out my little water fan. Lo and behold, last December I began to experience Symptom #4 of the wildly popular 34 symptoms of menopause. Acid Reflux, oh joy! Luckily, mine isn't painful, but it really messes with my favorite thing. Eating. I always felt like I had something stuck in my throat, and I also seem to have to maintain a close proximity to a powder room to, you know, powder my nose. (Does anyone really powder their nose anymore?) Anyhow, I digress. My doctor prescribed Nexium. She gave me a free sample, and I went home and took it for two days. YUK! Nasty side effects, and I started looking up the company, and I don't like the way they do business (along with the rest of Big Pharma - they're not interested in curing us, you know. It's not profitable.) So, I Googled "herbal remedies for acid reflux, and I found an herbal medicine clinic near where I live. They recommended this stuff. I took it back to my doctor - always check with your doctor first! - and told her that I hated the Nexium, and could I try this stuff first without hurting myself. She said to go for it. It really works! Gagging feeling is gone. I never really had too much pain, but upset stomach is gone. I gave one of these to my friend when she didn't have her Nexium one day, and she wrote to me the next day asking where she could get it. It's a big ole pill, but it goes down easily enough, since it's a gel cap. It works after a few hours, but long tern usage increases the effect. I usually take it for a couple of weeks until the symptoms go away. Be warned, you burp up orange for a while, but I don't mind, lol - the orange tasting burp is actually a bit delightful for me! I will only say this here, because you don't know me, LOL! I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it certainly has for me, and for my friend. And for 20 bucks, it's worth a try, ne c'est pas? And just consider how expensive the prescription for Nexium is! Can't hurt to try, but again, check with your doctor first for any allergies or anything like that. For myself, I'm very pleased.

I'm taking this during my pregnancy since its all natural. I would say 50% of the time it prevents heartburn when I take it before I eat or drink. The other 50% when I take it as soon as I feel heartburn, it takes 20 minutes to an hour to fully work. I would not recommend laying down after taking as it seems to not work as good and then makes me burp. All in all though, for being natural it does help alot and I'm happy with the product.

This stuff works as good as Prilosec (omeprazole) and has none of the evil side effects - at least, I hope so! I've read about the dangers of long term omeprazole use and wanted some natural way to control heartburn. Terry Naturally Advanced Heartburn Rescue is doning that for me!

I love this stuff. It has worked really well for me. My doctor wanted me to go on the purple pill but I refused. My heartburn finally got so bad I had to do something so I went to a local natural medicine store and asked what they had. They recommended this. It has worked great. I went from have almost constant heartburn to probably less than five times in the last month and a half. I seem to have on small side effect, very small burps. The burps are not loud belches just very quiet ones and there is no unpleasant taste with them. I want to stop back in our local natural medicine store and ask them about it but have not taken the time yet.

This product is quite effective at getting rid of heartburn. It isn't as fast as "normal" heartburn medicine, but it works quite well once it kicks in. And after a bit of use, it can help eliminate heartburn too, just as good as Prilosec, but without the side effects of long-term use. For heartburn sufferers, keep in mind this is just a band-aid, you MUST adjust your diet for permanent relief. This helps you while you make adjustments, or when you make mistakes. The main key to eliminating heartburn is to severely reduce your sugar intake. Fruit sugars are not bad, except when in high amounts. Processed sugars (think ice cream, candy bars, etc.) are the worst for heartburn!

I must take prescription proton pump inhibitors due to severe acid reflux. The prescriptions work to some degree and I had hoped this product would make a noticeable and favorable difference used as an adjunct therapy. I have not noticed any less heartburn despite being on my second bottle of this. Perhaps after stopping the product entirely a difference might be discerned? If that proves to be the case, I would consider trying it again.
