Grain free
I fed my previous furbaby Core grain free and started this new dog on that. She didnt like it much. I tried a small bag of Crave chicken grain free and she likes it a LOT! So now I get the big bags as she is a big girl. To keep her even healthier, I buy PLAIN, unseasoned collard greens at the discount grocer. The seasoned kind have articicial smoke, lots of salt etc. The ones I get are simply water and collards, (her fave) or turnip greens if out of collards. I give her a few tbsp in her dinner nightly. She eats them first so that says a lot! (I also give her carrot slices, apple cubes and the occasional ginger snap as rewards. I was going to buy flax seeds but this dog food has it already!

I would give 5 stars, but something changed
I buy this brand for over a year now. My dog have digestive problems, so I have to water the food and process it like baby food. Let’s start with the pros: - the adaptation was smooth. I did half and half from the beginning and she had no problems; - her hair looks great; - my dog went from 17.6 pounds (8 kg) to 26 pounds (12kg) in like 5 months (eating 100-120grams/day)! This made me very happy because she can’t eat a lot and have been struggling with low weight for a while. - their wet food is really good too! She loves it. And it’s a good price for the amount it comes (and the quality) Cons: - the price varies out of nowhere. It doubled for two to three months here on Amazon, I had to buy from Petco for that time. - the meat flavor made her sick. She threw up a lot! But again, she has digestive problems, so we can’t fully blame the food. I buy only chicken flavor now. The critical con: - I think they are changing the formula/composition if the food. And if it continues, I will stop buying it. Again, since I directly deal with her food twice a day, I have to pay attention to everything. In this last batch, my food processor started to get very greasy (I only use it for her food, so there’s no way it came from something else). Sometimes when we ran out of food, I get her Pedigree just to survive a couple of days. And that food sucks, folks. It’s very very greasy. The good thing of using Pedigree as an emergency was to realize how good Crave is, but:: now I can easily recognize something is wrong with the batch I just got. After I process it, I immediately clean the processor. Usually a quick water with soap solves, but now it was hard to get read of it. - her poop is starting to get soft. It didn’t happen before! For me, it’s another evidence they are changing the composition. She is reactive to new/different food. So if her poop changed and she has been eating the same food for more than a ear… something is different. Overall it is a really good food. However, if I keep seeing these alterations I’ll have to stop buying it.

Our dog is VERY picky about Dog Food...
I heard about Crave from someone with a dog that doesn't like dog food. Since our 1-year-old girl Great Dane doesn't want to eat anything except Liver Sausage (2-1/2 pounds a day!) I figured I would try Crave. We needed to try to find a dry food to give her the vitamins and minerals she needs and that the liver sausage is lacking. Great Danes are not real big eaters as anyone that owns one knows. We put crave in a bowl next to her other 2 different brands of dry food already in bowls by her water. She came sniffing around and bypassed the other two bowls as usual. She then dug in on the crave! She ate a little over 1/2 the bowl in that one sitting! That's more dry food than she had consumed in the last month! Now we fill her bowl that holds a 4lb bags worth at a time of crave, add a pound of liver sausage next to it on a plate getting rid of the other two brands of dry, and now completely fill her standard 3-gallon water bowl since dry food makes them want more water than liver sausage alone! She's a happy 210 pound Great Dane now and getting the nutrients she needs to grow up to be a big strong girl! Thanks Crave!

Tastes great less mutt mitts.
I first purchased this food at the local grocery store in a 4 lb. bag while on vacation with a ridiculously great $5 off coupon good at the checkstand. I thought I'd give it at try because it was literally around five bucks after the coupon. Days later... ordering a 22 lb. bag from Amazon, and mulling a subscription... My rescue dog Ninja (45 lb. dog with amazing vertical leap) loved it so much that I've now ordered it from Amazon in a much larger bag. Lately he wasn't attacking his old food (Costco 'premium' house brand), but that hasn't been a problem once with Crave. After feeding him this food for a couple of days, I noticed that on our walks he has less <ahem> 2 than ever. He's doing it less frequently, and less at one time. But he's eating just as much of the Crave as he did the old food. To me, that means he's digesting his food more thoroughly, but I'll leave you to figure out what the difference was in the old 'grain free' brand from Costco, and Crave. Your dog will eat all his/her food. You'll have less 2 to clean up. That's a win all the way around. Or maybe you like picking up after your pup more than I do...
