This rod is for a lighter weight curtain on the deck, out in the elements. I chose lighter weight curtain for the sun light not the rod. I feel the rod would work on a heavier curtain, however I did not try it. The rod stayed secure and perfectly positioned through the last storm.

Very nice curtain the material is very heavy definitely blacks out light and tension rod was heavy enough to hold the curtain. We bought these to put behind the seats in our RV to keep the engine air conditioning up front. Works like a charm. Did have to have them hemmed they were a little long.

The rods are easy to adjust. The curtains are easy to hang and are true black out quality.
