This is the only chicken soup mix that I can find that has not only no MSG but no onions or garlic! It's ideal for those who prefer low-fodmap diets. There is quite a bit of salt in the powder, but I'm not on a low-salt diet, so it's not an issue for me. I use about 1 tsp per pint of water when I'm making my daily soup for lunch, and it has just enough flavor without being too overpowering. I think the instructions say 1 tsp for 8 oz of water, and that would be a great ratio for a stronger flavor. The jar is easy to scoop from until you get to the bottom half, at which point I usually transfer the contents to an 8oz canning jar for easier access. I'm so happy that this is available on Amazon, and I have it on Subscribe & Save, so I never run out - it's just that good!

I think this is quite good. I’m not a cook, but I use it on the rare occasions when I make soups and I found it to be quite tasty. The only reason I didn’t give a five stars is because obviously if you make it with real chicken it’s going to be better, but I think this hits the mark.

Can't beat FODY for onion/ garlic intolerance. This has good flavor and is versatile..

I had high hopes for this because it’s the only chicken soup base I can find that isn’t full of ultraprocessed ingredients and yeast extract. But this is absolutely disgusting. I think they must use expired chicken meat or not clean their equipment often enough, because this tastes strongly of rancid chicken fat. You know that stink that old chicken gets? T And there’s none of that delicious chicken soup flavor I am looking for in a chicken soup base. If you’re not sensitive to bad smells, you might like this. My friend recommended it to me, and when I gave her my review she said she could smell that smell but it didn’t bother her. I gave her the rest of my container, because for me it ruins anything I put it in.
