Got the job done
I got this because my husband got an older enclosed trailer that need to be sanded and repainted. This did what he needed it to do. He got his paint, hooked everything up and started to paint. The paint flowed easy and it did not clog or have thick spots. I was so nice and painted fast. Cleaning was not fun. It is a nice sprayer and it works well.

Made painting our house so much easier and more affordable
For a first time user, this was definitely a little more difficult to assemble. Once that was done though it worked really well, has a good spray pressure and has good coverage with a couple of coats. Its not super sturdy so it helps that the hose is longer to have the stand in a secure area away from the movement of painting. It was a bit of a pain to clean but now that im familiar with how it seems like it will be easier with future use.

Perfect for big painting jobs
We used this to paint our garden shed. We pressure washed the shed to remove any loose or flaky paint. After it dried we used this sprayer to apply two coats of new paint. We did have to thin the paint a bit. I guess thinning depends on what paint you use. Our’s was thick and had an undercoat all in one. The sprayer has a large filter screen so if one section blocks it can still suck plenty of paint. We used a 5 gallon bucket so you don't have to stop spraying to refill the paint can. If you are new to using this type of sprayer there is a learning curve. We experimented on a practice piece of tin before we felt confident to spray where everyone can see our DIY skills or lack of skills. For a big paint job this does save so much time it is easily 5 times faster than using a roller or a brush. The one negative is the cleanup. That's where you start to lose the time you saved. We used a water based paint so cleaning the sprayer was easier. If you have a large DIY paint job you could save a lot of time and money with this sprayer.

works ok for the diyer or homeowner
I've used the lowest grade similar item from Graco and so some of the observations are compared to that unit. I think this will do it for the very infrequent use where airless spraying is just so much more efficient and can get the final finish you want. The unit does prime very quickly out of the box, so I don't have much experience if it has been used and maybe some superficial rust or seizing of the valve has occurred. The unit is able to generate a decent amount of pressure and after retightening some of the connections down, I was able to get a leak free unit. The motor stroke length appears to be slightly longer which causes slightly more pulsing when going full pressure, when using lower pressure tips, the on and off range is the same. The included starter kit items is a nice touch. The gun even has a additional swivel connection on the bottom which helps tremendously with spray gun dexterity. In zero pressure testing, the motor does seem to output around .39gpm tested with a volume of water. However, the graco unit seems to output way higher than it's rating and maybe that rating is under pressure. It remains to be seen if this sprayer can keep up the .39gpm rating under pressure. The included spray tip does seem to be lower quality and I would probably switch to a better fflp type spray tip. Overall, this unit does work, and likely is a step below the project painter plus. The unit is cheaper and that's why I think this unit still deserves 5 stars because the intention is that this is a super infrequent airless paint sprayer for the diyer or homeowner.

Good for big projects
I will say that once you figure out how to use it, it's worth it. It's not the machine so much that's hard to figure out, but more the application technique. The things I really liked about using it were its long reach and lightweight body. We did have to thin out our paint, but it was older paint. The clean-up process was a bit more involved than I expected, but it was worth it to get my whole garage painted quickly. I think we'll save this for bigger projects, but I'm happy I got it.
