Not too hard to fit -- and it works great. Hasn't flaked like the original factory piece from Beyerdynamic did -- the original's surface started flaking within months of my purchasing the headphones. This replacement is excellent -- no issues yet.

No issues. Perfect fit for Beyerdynamic DT 990s. If you snap the end snaps first, then the two middle snaps, they fit perfectly. If you start at one end and work towards the other as you go the headband cover can seem too long as other reviewers that hacked off the end of theirs reported. You will want to finesse the headphone cord in the crease of the cover and under the metal headphone headband to allow the ear units to be adjusted for fit without rubbing and potentially damaging the cord that connects the right ear piece to the left. Feels comfortable on the head and appears more durable than the original OEM headband. The only negative is aesthetic; I would have preferred black snaps. Good value, I would purchase again.

Installation as other reviewers noted takes quite some effort, I would definitely advise anyone doing this to be very gentle even though the band requires some level of force to get the buttons attached. If you press on your headset the wrong way while doing this, atleast in the case of the dt 770 pros, you run a good chance of the small hollow plastic part just below the band cracking (its unfortunately a rather poorly made part in an otherwise remarkably metallic/sturdy headset). I unfortunately did this and caused a small crack on one side of my band, this is hardly the product itselfs fault but I would still advise some level of care installing this as a result. Though replacing the part is easy enough with a better/stronger piece it can be a little pricey. I found that if the band was fighting too much it was usually because the wire was at an odd angle and even something as small as that can throw off the VERY snug fitting buttons. Anyway the band is a good replacement, seems better material wise and comfort wise than the one that came stock. Feels nice being able to repair and upkeep these headphones rather than replace em.

Product fit perfectly on my DT880 cans! I read one reviewer somewhere on here that it's way too tight and yadda yadda, but he must've been smoking something good that night. It's really soft and actually slightly better than the stock ones that come on them. I have the DT770 and MMX300 and this headband holds its own. I happened to buy the DT880 used and the previous owner installed this adhesive pad that nearly tripled the thickness and it was horrendous. After learning the shipping cost on an original from Beyerdynamic themselves I decided to give this a shot, and I'm really glad I did. Makes me want to upgrade my 15yr old DT770 since that headband has seen some hours! Definitely don't be afraid to try this out on your cans. You'll be happy you did.

I wanted something a little softer than the standard Beyerdynamic headband. It was already getting worn out as well, so I decided to look around. This option was cheap and great. It's been on my headphones since early August now and has 0 quality issues. It hasn't worn out early, hasn't been weird in any way, not uncomfortable at all. It's better than the headband that came with my DT770 Pro's, and it's WAY cheaper than the one branded by Beyerdynamic. The installation is a little bit frustrating, but it wouldn't take more than a minute or two of fuss to get it on. Just a tight fit, but I don't think you want it to be loose either. I wouldn't criticize the product for it; it's just how it is.

Replaced my flaky oily one on my dt770 pros. A little bit tight but you only need to put it on once. Feels good!
