My husband is having knee replacement surgery and this has been a close companion when the knee decides to kick out. 6 foot 3 and 320 pounds. It takes a cane that is very sturdy to hold him up.

The cans are very sturdy and the only quad cans that I could find for my father that is over 6 foot.

This is the second four-footed "stability" cane I've purchased in this price range. I bought another brand first and it was clearly some overseas manufacturer selling cast offs: the four legs weren't even the same length and it was easily seen. I did get a refund after returning it, thankfully, and went ahead and bought this one. I have used Big Alex canes -- the "hurrycane" folding type with the flexible revolving bottom -- for years. I have two that I have used for five years and they are just starting to show wear and tear on the bottom. The trouble is, I live in a house with two steep front steps, and their flexibility makes it difficult to drop down the second step onto the walkway. So I thought maybe one of these canes would be better. They aren't. Any force that isn't directly from above causes the cane to tip. If I do it just right, I can get down the step a little more securely than with the hurrycane type. But that's it. This isn't a good cane to walk with unless you want to be totally focused on keeping your arm directly above so the force is in a straight line with the cane. A LOT of hassle. I think I'm going to have to see if my insurance will cover a REAL cane from an actual medical supply center because buying things sight unseen and untested just isn't working out. If you're just looking for a good walking cane, I'd suggest getting the Big Alex Folding Walking Cane, because for $20, (ok, now $24), those are a steal.

This is my favorite one from the 3 my daughter has bought for me. It's not heavy. Like that it has 4 little legs 😊 makes it much more easier to walk and doesn't fall over like the 1legged canes.

Very sturdy. One dislike is that the base could be bigger I'm 6'8 and 255 lbs. This cane fits me perfectly

This product does not function well or hold up over time. In just over 3 months of owning this product, it has broken and no longer is safe to use. The "1-year warranty" is a joke. I filed a claim via email through Big Alex Support well over a week ago, and I have yet to receive any type of response. Save your time, safety, and money and choose another brand!
