I recently bought a house, and the front landscaping has been ignored for at least 15 years. It requires some serious labor to get it back under control. I don't mind putting in the man hours and muscle, but I didn't want to break the bank. For about $100, this tool was the perfect value and works wonders! Assembly was very easy and was up and running in 10 minutes. It is able to tear through my neglected soil, with effort at times, but it gets it done. There is river rock mixed in with dirt, with weeds and roots of small saplings across most of my property. So I'm trying to use it to loosen up everything so I'm able to sift out the rock, remove the weeds, pull out the roots, then properly replace the rocks. It's able to displace 1"-2" rocks okay and keep moving. Anything bigger than that, it kicks back (kicks up actually) repeatedly until you manually pull out the obstruction. Smaller roots it cuts through, with some effort. Larger roots it kicks and sometimes eventually hangs. Weeds and vines get wrapped around the blades. The only downside is when it gets tangled with weeds. I don't think this is the fault of this tool, but it's worth noting to any future buyers. Vines, weeds, and long-stringed roots easily get pulled in and wound around the blades. You have to stop, (unplug of course for safety), then manually pull out all the tangled organics. It's harder to do than you think. Eventually I realized that using a pair of wire cutters to cut through the debris helped speed up the cleaning process.

Battery life is excellent. 2 4amp battery run for at least one hour. Very powerful. Easy to use. Light weight. Doing good job. Roots is not a problem. Save your back. You have to rake soil after make sure it level. Not a problem. It was a good buy for me. Use it for my sister's garden. She loves it.

If you need a small tiller and already have DeWalt batteries this is a no brainer especially for the price. It tills through preworked material really well. It take some work mostly because this tiller isn’t heavy at all but it will chew through grassy soil. Appears to be pretty well built. I didn’t immediately notice any flaws. The shear bolts for the augers are pretty thick, maybe they are not intended to shear? The motor is strong enough that it hasn’t stalled out on me, even groing through small tree and grass roots. Of course I haven’t really tried to stall it either. :-) I have two 5amp XP batteries, don’t have a runtime number but is seems pretty good using it often throughout the day, I didn’t need to recharge.

This little tiller I must say is a Champ!! Top Value for the money if you can deal with a cable. It works very well even though I have tough packed dirt and old grass which it just obliterates right through with speed, ease and with no struggle, as you can see in the video… Looking forward to laying my new sod after this tiller busts through all the old top soil. Pros: Strong powerful (surprised me) Easy to assemble no stopping or refueling or battery life to worry about. safety trigger and rock guard. Cons: Cable Ballet, you must keep watch it at all times on your power cable

Does a great job. I was surprised to see it hitting rocks, which we have of all sizes. When a rock is big, as in a big or small bolder it does jump in that area, but it does not seem to be any worse for the wear. Wear gloves if that is the case. Managing the power cord means you have to plan your comings and goings accordingly. We had a different brand what around an extension cord and that rendered it inoperative. So we got this one, even though we were happy with the previous brand, because of faster delivery. This one worked just as well as that other one. Great to prepare compacted soil for new seeding for a new lawn.

I've tested it only once but for an electric tiller, it has pretty good power. It's not as powerful as a gas tiller but it's a lot lighter and easier to handle. It should come in handy for planting a small garden. Great price.

Outstanding Rototiller! You would think something so small and light weight woul not perform light the big Home Depot rental tillers. Let me tell you, this thing is a monster! It tills rally easy and digs in deep. Everything was easy to put together that a 4th grader could do it. I give this a 5 stars! I couldn’t really ask for anything better. Just remember you pull it, don’t push it. My sister tried to push it and wasn’t get very far. I had her show me how she did it, then I instructed her to pull it. She loved it! She ended up buying one too… ***** 5 STARS *****

Very powerful. Chews up rather large roots and kicks out stones in the way. Very impressive.
