As you can see from the measurements given in the description, these animals are quite tiny, but they are very detailed. They have texture for their fur/feathers/etc., and even their faces are painted quite well. All of the animals are able to stand on their own (aside from the eel and catfish, which you would not expect to see standing anyway!), with two of the birds having feet connected to a base to help them do so. The pieces are made so that if you push or pull on thinner plastic spots (like antlers or legs), the plastic is a bit bendy, which gives them some durability. I'm unsure how well they would stand up to particularly rough play (which is true for most plastic toys, anyway), but for typical play they seem like they will be able to last.

I love Safari's animal TOOBs, I used to collect them when I was younger. It was pretty awesome finding this set and I got it because who knows, maybe I can start collecting again. I like the sets that are themed like this. And I like how each animal has the name on its stomach so you can know what they are and maybe go do some research for a little extra education.
