Great Stone at a fair price
This is my first sharpening stone, so take my review for what it is... so far, it has worked very well, and it was much easier to use than I expected. The stone is of good quality and seems durable.

Easy to use and keeping my knives sharp

Seems like a pretty good whetstone.
So I’m a total beginner, I’ll just lead with that fact. I’ve sharpened my knives a few times with this, and it seems to work perfectly, and the price was quite a bit lower than similar whetstones. I do not see anything the others could be doing that much better than this one. It has a little clip that goes on your knife to help you get and maintain the correct angle, and the holder has a strong grip. If this disappeared out of my cabinet for some reason, I’d make the exact same purchase again. No notes.

Shave Sharp
Great quality stone for knife sharpening. The wood holder works well with a grippy bottom pad to keep it in place. It also comes with a blade angle guide. I don't use it but it is included.

Best way to sharpen knives you care about
Makes knives much safer to use. Nothing more dangerous than a dull knife.

Difficult, but it works
After trying several "easy-to-use" sharpeners that didn't work well, or in the case of my $100 chef knife, dulled badly, I tried this. At first, it didn't seem to be working, but be patient. My knife was dull, so it took a while. WATCH SOME VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. Also, buy a honing tool to maintain edge between sharpenings. Conclusion? Finally, finally my knife is sharp again. I can cut fruits and vegetables fast and easy. It's been so long it feels like a luxury. If you really like having a sharp knife, get rid of the gimmics and do it like a professional. Admittedly, my first time took a while, and I don't think my knife is as sharp as it could be. However, its pretty darn sharp, and now that I've learned the basics (it's a bit of a learning curve), I'm sure with practice I'll be able to get my knives as sharp as I want. A few ending comments... This takes work, some research, and a little practice. But after this investment, I'll never worry about a darn dull knife again. Even with the work that's involved, there's something very satisfying about sharpening the knives with a stone. It feels good to do it like a professional. It also feels good to have my knives back, especially my chef, which is easily one of the most important tools in my kitchen.
