You will love the EZVIZ Indoor Security Camera
We start buying EZVIZ Indoor Security Camera about six years ago when my Mom (now 87 years old) moved in with us. Even though, she is in great shape, thanks to God, I wanted to make sure I would be able to see if she was ok, whenever I would call and she didn't answer, and also for a peace of mind when I she had to stay home alone.It is SUPER EASY to set that we have one camera that we take with us when we go out of town. We took it with us to our six week trip to Europe, and no matter which country we were it was easy to set up using the wifi at the hotel and or at the Airbnb ...EZVIZ has been updating the app with new bells and whistles ...We promise you won't regret purchasing this camera. We truly love it!We have bought about 12 cameras, and only two of them failed to complete the setup (these cameras were 6 years old).

It does work, but not allowing setup detection area to reduce unwanted notifications
I have this camera installed since April. It seems working okay after these months. Although its notification is not as fast as TP Link camera, it does send alert to cell phone app in two to three seconds delay, to let you know there is someone entered its detection range, when setting up human detection. It does not allow you to setup an area that only when person entered that area to be alerted, so that I have to point camera down, so that it would not send alerts for people walking on the street. updated in August 2024.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++The camera came with 7 days of free trial of cloud services. During that time, it sets priority to cloud first. Once that cloud service trial expired, I did not renew to their paid cloud service, NOTHING worked correctly any more. The notification did not send, the camera started to record everything, even I specified to human shape detection only. Pretty much is a piece of junk. Okay you can promote your cloud services, but not by making camera not working correctly. This situation last 14 days after first use. After 14 days, notification started working again, not reliably though, sometimes sent and sometimes not. Their support people are useless on improving their server reliability. I think that has something to do with forcing people paying for their cloud subscription. I would avoid this brand from now on.+++++++++++last review++++++++++++I really wanted to like it, since I already returned C8W (that one would lose configuration when power interrupted) and brought this one to replace it. However, I found this camera not queue any alert during its no wifi time. It does record to SD card for the video. I was expecting to look library locally to see if there is any notification, even it could not send during wifi jammed.Another complaint is the detection area setup only work for Image Change detection, not for anything else. I don't want to get alert for anyone walking on the street, only want to get alert when someone walked in front my door. Some other brands can do that, by recording any human and car detection, but only alert owner for someone walked into detection area setup by user.

i have been using EZVIZ products for over 10 years now and i have to say they are great. the AI is incredible .not needed a lot of support but one time i did and they were very helpful.I just bought 20 of the h8 and love them.

Love it
Love it. Best purchase ever. Camera is clear and follows people coming and going. Also you don’t need the subscription id you don’t want it as it has a place for a memory card. Easy install. It’s been up for a couple months now and no loss of connection issues.

Multiple Concerns | Value vs Price Just isn't There
Camera is 'Below Adequate'Concerns> First, the image appears 'grainy or blocky' as the clarity just isn't there noting the Tech available in today's world. I expect clarity w/no distortion.Second, At $110, this camera should have a live view zoom functionality allowing the actual camera to close in on an image when customer wishes to do so. I find the lack of that feature to 'Greatly' reduce the Value vs Price balance.Third, Viewing Video> 'No' fast forward when viewing stored video. There should be a 3x and 5x option playback setting to help expedite video viewing.(I should be able to view, pause, start video as if I was streaming or watching a DVD)There is a Zoom In|Out on the Gallery Playback. I find that to be of no value as nothing happens when either is clicked.Fourth, The Messages users access at top of the App> States I have 99+ messages. I click on one of the messages from the list and nothing happens. I fully expect to click on the message an see an Image. Useless.Fourth, The 'Preset Camera View' feature gets confused and often generates an error message. You end up not knowing if the view setting was saved or not. Also, I find when I return to a saved setting, the camera does not return exactly where i had set it. It's off enough to note in this review.Fifth, When using the EZViz App on my Laptop ('All Devices' | Select Camera | Advanced | Network | EZViz Cloud)I uncheck the box 'Enable EZViz Cloud P2P' to ensure there is NO chance something would be routed to the cloud (subscribed or not). I click 'Apply' then exit the setting and resume viewing. When I return, I see the App has reset my selection (it rechecks the option to send images to the EZViz Cloud). THIS NEEDS FIXED ASAP. (See Image).Under NO circumstances do I want 'any' application to overwrite my selections 'for anything' ever.Positive Notes: Lag is not bad when moving the camera and also seems to communicate well w/my Home Network. Network setup was easy.Summary> Noting all the underwhelming gaps I find this to be a 01 Star product that could easily have been a 04|05 Star. EXViz should have consulted customers who actually have 'real world' use cases before releasing a product or application.
