Q: Will it take 65kg body weight to perform pull ups on?

No. This is a grabrail and the welds on the bar and wall support will not be strong enough to support the full weight.

Q: Did anyone fit this to a wall and if so, what size screws did you need ? : it doesn't state max weight supported,want to ensure a solid fixing

The rail comes with the correct size screws (3 at each end), if in doubt buy longer screws.Can't remember if there are details of max weight but is very secure and currently takes over 12stone weight.

Q: I have a gap of 34” will the larger rail fit.

Difficult for me to say as I bought an 18 inch rail, which comes to nearly 21 inches when you add in the brackets fixing it to the wall.

Q: Is this item suitable for the shower?

Hello M O'Sullivan, I purchased one of these as I have now developed some arthritis, and having some problems getting in and out of the bath, which also serves as our shower. Fix it properly, and it is excellent - I have no qualms in recommending it. Regards,Tony

Long grab bar with anti-slip grip

Plus points: nice and long, which suited my needs; anti-slip grip seems ok to me but I have no experience of other products; large rubber washers which I guess makes mounting to tiles safer; lower profile (i.e. doesn't stick out too far) than some grab bars I looked at, but still plenty room to get your hand in.Minus points: No screws supplied and instructions just tell you to get a professional installer, so are of no help at all; no covers to go over the mounting ends, so screws are exposed (I believe I saw other products which did have covers). These didn't matter to me, but might to you.
