Guides unglued
This one didn't have many reviews, so I knew I was taking a chance. But I've had great value purchases in the past like this, so i thought there was a reasonable good chance. I bought a Berrypro at the same time to use for a beach trip, one for me, the other for my wife. But this one started having issues right away. One of the guides popped out of place basically immediately. It looked like it was only secured by a little bit of glue and tension from the sliding down the blank. It was not really good at casting compared to the Berrypro. Like not even close. I was able to cast literally twice as far the same exact bait with the Berrypro over this thing. Also was MUCH much much heavier. Basically in every measurable dimension it was worse.. I would just spend the extra $20 and go with a level above this. I tossed mine after our beach trip.
