When they say big they aren't exaggerating
This kit was fantastic. It is about 4x the size of the smaller ones from this same company that come two to a box. It was well packaged, tightly wrapped pieces that were then held secure along with the rest of the items on a cardboard tray and wrapped. Then everything was wrapped in bubble wrap. There was plenty of icing to assemble this house, two of the smaller ones and a small locking one. We haven't decorated them yet to give them all time to dry, but the amount of candy is ok. I like a lot more than they provide with any kit. I was really impressed with this company's packaging though. I ordered two of these and six of the smaller ones and not a broken piece in any of them. Icing held well and fairly quickly. Easy assembly as a result. One caution on this large one don't accidentally push in the middle when attaching the roof. Push only on the edges. Mine split nicely in half because I wasn't thinking. Still held up and attached just fine though. Picture attached, this kit is on the far right (the largest of the three)

Icing Didn't Hold - Very Disappointing for Our Children
Overpriced and icing did not work at all - this was very disappointing for our children as the house continued to fall apart. We used half a can of regular cake crosting to get it to actually stay together.

Fun gingerbread house activity!
We ordered a number of these kits for a gingerbread house decorating competition and they were perfect and exactly what we needed! We did purchase some extra icing packets and various candies and sprinkles to supplement what comes in the kit, as well as things like utensils and toothpicks, and scissors to open all the shrink wrap. These were young adults putting the houses together, and out of about 14 houses, I think 4 of them collapsed as soon as they tried to move them. So it definitely takes some patience and a little bit of dexterity to put them together and get them to stay. Two of the houses had a couple broken pieces upon opening, likely from shipping, but this is somewhat to be expected when ordering things like this online and wasn’t anyone’s fault. They were packaged pretty securely. I can’t comment on how the gingerbread tastes, as I don’t think anyone ate any of them, and they are pretty hard anyway, but they smelled good! Regardless, everyone had lots of fun and I do recommend these houses.

Too thin frosting
The frosting to hold the sides together is too thin to adequately hold the walls together. I used a can of white frosting which did the trick.

Great Gingerbread House Kits
For over 20 years I have made/baked and constructed my own traditional homemade gingerbread houses - unfortunately this year we had a natural disaster where we were unable to stay at our house or a kitchen w supplies to use. Luckily after reviewing other gingerbread house kits I chose this kit. This house kit was very sturdy, came with icing and candy. It worked out perfectly (I did add more of my own store bought candies since I’m not used to using a kit). They were a good size and turned out well. Hint - build them around Thanksgiving then keep them out until Christmas as a decoration so you can enjoy everyone’s work of art for longer! We didn’t eat them then toss after the holidays.

Read the reviews before purchasing this!
Don’t buy this product!! It’s a rip off! But it’s my fault, I should have looked at the reviews first! (They were really bad) I hoped they were wrong but, they were right! It was broken, the icing was just liquid didn’t stick to anything! We tried but it was impossible. Definitely stay away from this product Only reason it got one star is because they require at least one star to post it

Flawed Materials and Bad Quality Control
So I didn't listen to the reviews on the internet. I really should have. I bought this (in addition to another gingerbread house we didn't end up using for lack of time) so we could assemble it as a gift to our fans on YouTube. Not to give of course, oh heavens no. They watched us assemble it, live. Of course, we weren't exactly prepared. It was our first time doing something like this and our show has a max run time of 5 hours. The instructions say you need to prep by gluing everything together and letting it sit - 4 hours in advance. (With frosting of course). This, as I understand it, is standard procedure. We just didn't know till the show started. No big deal. We just winged the whole assembly process anyway. So here is a list of problems: 1.) The picture heavily implies the existence of both blue and white fondant. I'm no culinary expert or anything, but there was only white. They made no suggestion or even alluded to a suggestion that we should get blue food coloring to expand the use of the white fondant. Not only that, but the white fondant APPEARED to have barely enough to cover just the tops of the towers, never mind anywhere else that was supposed to be blue. 2.) There were recommended materials on the side of the box, as well as required materials. Of course I didn't take the "everything you need is included" claim seriously so I'm not going to complain about that. I will however, complain about the fact that most, if not ALL of the materials they recommend are never mentioned ANYWHERE in the square sparknote sized instruction page. Not even as an optional tip to the side or bottom of the page. So I just bought a bunch of kitchen stuff for nothing. No big deal I guess. 3.) The frosting they give - though delicious - does not lend itself well to spreading... or maybe its the gingerbread itself that doesn't lend itself to being spread upon. Either way, you'll see from the picture, we had issues. If you try to put frosting on the gingerbread, it won't stick. NEVER MIND SPREADING IT. You'll see that no matter what method you use (butter knife was useless, and using our hands wasn't much better), the frosting seems to never want to bond to the surface. Sure the white one acts as a great glue, but as paint/decorations, it won't stick. In fact, it seems to actively try to NOT stick to the surface. The second you try to spread it, the entirety of the frosting just sticks to whatever tool your using to do it. On that note, the colored sugar they use as snow sparkles? Yeah don't bother. They won't stick to the frosting worth crud. 4.) bad quality control. I'm going to be as honest as I can be here because we assembled this 3 weeks ago, and my memory is fuzzy. I'm not sure, but I think I remember at least one of the decorations the box said was included was nowhere to be found in the box. I'm not sure if that actually was true, but what I AM SURE ABOUT is they included a decoration in the box that was mentioned nowhere, and doesn't even appear on the box image. They appeared to be Christmas light candies. I'm not complaining for getting extra stuff, but I mean... it does say something about quality control if something went in the box that shouldn't have.

Love these ornaments
These kits are wonderful - will definitely buy again. I love how they light up. Bought for Mr grandchildren as a memory ornament sine we do gingerbread houses every year together.

4 of the 6 panels were badly broken and therefore the whole house could not be assembled. A waste of £29.99
