This sunscreen is free from oxybenzone and octinoxate, which are considered the most destructive sunscreen filters for the reef.

Q: Can this be used on the face?

Hello, This item can be used on the face in a pinch, but it is not the recommended use. We recommend our Face Shield SPF 55 Sunscreen lotion for Face - it is Lightweight, Moisturizing, and Safe for Acne Prone Skin.

Q: Dose this product have uva and uvb sun protection?

Yes. Avobenzone covers into the UVA spectrum. I know every article & blogger will say “look for broad spectrum on the label.” but 1) nearly All sunscreens in the USA and probably world wide are broad spectrum. 2) zinc oxide & avobenzene, & to a decent extent titanium dioxide protects into the UVA range. UVb is 290nm - 320nm; UVA 320nm to 400nm, which, is pretty difficult to protect up to the 400nm border bc that tips into visible light - meaning you can start seeing it, and it’ll reflect visible light, aka give that white cast. Anyway, yeh, it’ll cover somewhat broad spectrum bc it has avobenzone. But imo it’s the same as Target’s UpUp spf 15 just costs more.
